so we have the Safety 1st convertible car seat and I am so excited to put it in the car tonight.... here is my question- my DD is 22lbs and almost 30inches long.. we should still put it rear facing correct? DH of course threw out the manual.
We have a Britax we use for the babysitter and the instructions for that say you can put it forward facing for babies 1 yr old and/or 22lbs.
Can anyone offer insight? Thanks!!
Re: convertible car seat rookie!
Or go to the facebook group car seats for the Littles. Your LO needs to stay rear facing until at least 2, or until they reach the maximum limits for their seat. You absolutely must read the manual to know how do car for and install properly. If you go to the companies website they should have a manual for you to read.
Also, if your doctor says you can FF at 1 year they should be informed. They should be following AAP recommendations. It's their job. Just like how OB's have to follow ACOG. So, if they are not giving out what the AAP recommends or trying to inform of them is a big red flag.
