I just got new carpet because my cat started peeing in the corners downstairs and completely ruined the baseboards, subflooring, drywall, carpet, everything. I tried to contain him upstairs away from that area after the new carpet was set yesterday and he just kept jumping over everything I put in his way. I ordered a new baby gate that is super high and will go at the top of our stairs, so I hope that helps. My FFFC: I just shut him in the room where his food and litter box are so I can get some more sleep before I have to get up and be on pee patrol. He's screaming like I'm murdering him but until we get the new gate (amazon prime better not fail me now), I can't risk him being downstairs while I'm not down there.
My cat jumps a 4 foot gate to get outside... Have you had your cat checked to make sure he doesn't have a UTI or anything?
Yeah. Everything checked out at the vet, so he said it could be behavioral. We added a second litter box and have been watching him like a hawk. He hasn't seem to do it yet but I still don't trust him yet. It's horrible.
I'm finally putting 2 & 2 together and accepting the fact that I deft have symptoms of ppd/ppa.
This probably plays a big role in why my marriage is in trouble.
I don't want to tell my H because
1. I don't think he'll take me seriously because he'll assume it's an excuse.
2. He'll probably immediately think "how much is this going to cost me"
3. I don't want to take all the blame for our issues
This saddens me even more. He's supposed to be my best friend and I can't even confide in him.
Another fffc. I think divorce is in our future. Even if it's years from now...
All I can say is hugs. DH and I have been going through some crap too. You're not alone.
Same thing in my neck of the woods
DH and I have had our moments in the past couple months, although it seems like things have really been improving since we had a heart to heart last week. I feel like most of our fights our brought on due to family tension (ie: needy inlaws) and the stress of me going back to work.

I don't know if this is an opinion or confession but I kinda wish they would make a safe version of a drop side crib. It would make it so much easier to lay him down (and actually stay) if I could get closer to the mattress like I can when I put him in my bed.
@KuhaBaby I would deft put an evil curse on him but I would not report him. I know some real jerky cops that would probably wait outside your house every day to mess with you for putting something on their record.
#icurseyoumeancop!!!
Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks. Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks. Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!

We have one, the upper section has a little swing gate about 6 inches deep. So I unlatch it (it has sliding latches to secure it in the up position. ) The entire side doesn't drop, just that little section swings down on a hinge like a gate if that makes sense. All the sides of the crib are completely secured and non movable. I love it. Our crib didn't get recalled (we bought it when drop side cribs were the bees knees.) I'm surprised more companies haven't manufactured cribs like this one!
After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!
DD likes to give cheek kisses to me and DH. However, DH said yesterday she cried after giving him a cheek kiss because he hadn't shaved and was scratchy. So he shaved this morning so she could kiss him. What? I tell him I don't like his scratchiness, and he does nothing about it. Baby doesn't like the scratchy, and he's got a razor in his hand stat.
It takes a LOT for me to love someone's post that has major spelling errors. I don't understand how some people can have so many! Do they not have spell check turned on in their browser?? I don't understand how you can be an adult and spell so horribly!
It also bugs me that like a quarter of the people on this board spell onesie wrong!
Random thought: Did you know that the word "onesie" is a term trademarked by Gerber? There have been several instances, unsurprisingly most of which are targeted toward eBay and Etsy shops, where Gerber has discovered the unauthorized use of the term and threatened legal action if the sellers didn't change it to creeper, jumper, etc.
The policy states you cannot use any form of the word Onesie, Onesies, or Onezie, 1Z, or anything else "confusingly similar to describe infant clothing. Including onsie -- the misspelled version.
Totally unrelated and related to your original comment, but I thought I'd share!
While watching Teen Mom 2 when Chelsea graduated from the aesthetics program I teared up a bit. I'm not usually an emotional person at all. What is wrong with me?! LOL
I literally just learned how to gif...thanks to @Lee81!! I've been jealous of everyone, but too lazy to really learn/try.
I feel like a whole new world has been opened up for me!
Jealous! I have tried to mobile gif and nothing shows up. Grrr
It's actually not as bad as I thought lol...
Actually use the quotes.
Also, I couldn't figure out how to get the actual gif link...copy/paste and open in new window and then use that link as the link.
Disclaimer: this is for iPhone...good luck!
I guess another FFFC for me is that I actually spent more time than is care to admit googling how to do this and STILL couldn't figure it out til this morning when @Lee81 gave instructions.
Mine is a bitch/vent whatever type of thing... My bday is Sunday (kind of a biggie, 25) and dh hasn't said anything about doing anything. As each day goes by I'm getting increasingly more and more pissed that he hasn't asked if I wanted to do anything.
My other random one...when I first joined the bump on saw @NRyan55 SN, I first thought that she was born in 1955 and having a baby at almost 60...
#newbstatusapril2013
@jeannie921 I'll bet he's planning something as a surprise. Hold off on your anger/frustration in case he does!
My FFFC, When I was single, I used to dump guys if their "drink" wasn't manly enough. This one guy ordered baileys on the rocks. Like that was his drink of choice. We never spoke again after that.
My hubs broke his foot last week helping someone work cattle. Now he can't work his public job and is completely useless and helpless. I have to bring him his plate and drink as well as feed his beagle dogs and pick up after him. Like I needed something and someone else to take care of.
Long story short - I am mad at him from breaking his foot. I'm a bitch right??

I'm glad it worked! Really you have @awwwpuddin to thank. I learned from her tutorial awhile back. I was just paying it forward
@elllaf@kdevin27@Mmhodges07 I think we are all friends on FB. We need to start an open message thread and just vent about our DHs!! Or maybe not so 'dear' h's!! Anyone else feel free to join in!!
Can I join even though I left mine?? I love a good bitch fest!
@carawasa You must have just changed your siggy pic -- I scrolled by and instantly knew she was your LO. She looks JUST like you (from what I can see in your profile pic, that is. I'm not a Creepy McStalkerson, I promise)! Beaut.
I just made an appointment to see my doctor during DDs 6 month check up. When they asked what it was for and I had to say possible PPD I felt like puking.
I have been binge watching Downton Abbey and now think in a British accent. I feel rather fancy about it all.
#youreadthatinanaccentdidntyou?
My manager is British and I read all his emails that way. Sometimes when I'm reading his emails and the phone rings I forget and answer in my horrible British as well.

I cried on the phone to the nurse when she was asking my symptoms. They were trying to determine if I needed to come in before the next available appointment.
@NRyan55 -- agghhhh!!! Shingles is the worst! I got it on my back in high school, and couldn't wear a bra for about 3 weeks. Of course, I also couldn't bear to wear any clothes that touched me, so I hung out top naked at home a lot. It was pure misery.
I hope they heal fast, and that your doctor gave you the scientifically-backed antiviral drugs, in addition to the "natural" honey cure

Hugs! I'm experiencing it big time right now. You are sooo not alone!!!
Thanks now it's just a battle to not call and cancel before the 15th! And @Jenball717 I'm sorry that must have been a crappy feeling
I am sitting in my car right now catching up on bumping because DS is asleep and sometimes the dog barking wakes him up when we go in. Plus DH will be home soon and he will carry the carrier for me. Ok not so flameful but its all I got!
Oh I thought of another one. My BIL (who has a son 5 weeks younger than DS) is on prescription pills and god knows what else. He went missing this week and ended up in a hospital in PA with no recollection of what happened or where his car was. We live in MD. The confession is that my in-laws totally coddle him and I'm already considering not going to Easter at their house. He is staying there and the rest of the family prob won't know what is going on so we will be expected to pretend like nothing happened. Fuck that.

1. LO's crib has been a glorified laundry basket for 6 months. It was my way of putting off moving him in there. He is now a crib baby.
2. I think DH and I are going to try for our next (and last) baby soon. I planned to wait, but I'm feeling ready.
3. I wrote my confessions down throughout the week so I wouldn't forget.
