Thoughts on some boy names

DH and I found out yesterday that we are having a boy, and are nowhere close to having a good list.  We started discussing it last night, and kept coming up with blanks.  We had a girl name all but picked out, but are having a hard time with boy names.  I looked through some of the other posts asking for names for suggestions, but a lot of them weren't DH's style (even though I loved them).  We also had a couple of others that we were thinking about and I wanted to get some opinions.  I posted a while back asking for opinions, and a few of those are still in consideration.  

We are leaning towards well-known, but nothing too trendy.  Our last name is two syllables, begins with S and ends in -es.  Completely open to other name suggestions!

Middle name would possibly be Patrick (but completely open to suggestions!)

Garrett (is this too dated? I know it was a popular name in the 80s-90s)
Jarrett (same as Garrett...is it too dated...was barely in the top 1000 in 2012 and I knew a couple of them in HS)
Reid 
Travis 
Miles
Alexander (on the fence about this one)
Austin (GP name)

Travis Karel arrived on 08/21/2014 at 38w1d.
BFP #2!  Travis is getting a sibling!

    This, basically. I would say Travis sounds more dated than Garrett... And I like Garrett slightly better than Travis. I don't like Jarrett at all...would prefer Jared/Jarrod/omg that name has a bazillion spellings.

    I love Garrett, Reid, and Miles. Travis and Jarrett sound very dated to me. I'm impartial about Alexander and Austin.

    I like Miles, Alexander, and Austin. I hate Jarrett, Garrett is mildly better. Travis is OK

    I like them all. they all look like perfectly normal, strong, boy names! I liek that they're not crazy unique either. only one I hesitate on is Alexander.. but only b/c it is crazy popular right now. But it's still a great name. Boy names are so hard!
