Getting to know you

1) Oh my, so much... Finishing up my master's degree (hopefully in a few weeks here), house hunting, preparing our house for rent or sale, and planning an art camp I'll be running in the summer.
2) It's my birthday tomorrow! We'll go out to dinner tomorrow (hot dogs and root beer at a drive-in, super classy), but no big plans for the rest of the weekend. I mostly just want to rest and work on my capstone project so I can graduate on time. Oh, we are going to look at a house Saturday, but it's a bit overpriced and it's sat on the market a while... so I feel like they must not be willing to budge.

1. There's been talk of me getting promoted at work for a few months now. They keep gearing up to do it and then something always happens to stall it. I'm very excited and very frustrated at the same time.

2. No big plans. I want to finally get some pictures into frames and up on the walls.

1) What's one big thing going on in your life right now other than being KU?
We are adding onto our house finally! It had been delayed a year. So I am really excited! With soon to be 6 kids, we really need to be a 4 bedroom.

2) Any fun plans for this weekend?
My friend offered to take 2 of my kids till Tuesday. On Saturday my SIL is taking 2 of the other ones and SO found a sitter for 5 hours to take out youngest. We are going out to eat and maybe a movie. It's nice to have a little alone time for more than 2 hours.

1) What's one big thing going on in your life right now other than being KU?

We bought a house! After 4 months and 5 offers! It's a new build and will be ready in June but it's at the stage where we still get to pick out all of the interiors! So excited!

2) Any fun plans for this weekend?

DH gets home from Palo Alto tomorrow after spending the week at Stanford. Glad he had a great work trip but so ready for him to be home!

1) What's one big thing going on in your life right now other than being KU? Just dropped my hubby off at the airport for a settlement conference for a work comp. case that is out of state. It's been three years since he was hurt on the job, but I f all goes well (fingers crossed), he will finally be able to get back surgery and be healthy again. 2) Any fun plans for this weekend? Well, I have to work, but with the hubby gone for a couple days, I get the bed to myself. Yay!!!

1. Moving for the DH's job again... and working on finishing my degree up. which is a never ending process, but if I hit it hard I should be done next semester. Could have possibly became a lifelong student without realizing it

2. Driving a lot, which it seems is all we have done lately the DH's job has us in the vehicle more than at home, oh well a lot of together time!

1) My boss who I've grown close to is stepping down. She can't take the bullsh!t anymore. Our director is really terrible so it causes a lot of stress. Sadly the person they wish to replace my boss with is incredibly magnificently unqualified. So, I told Dh that if this goes south I want to quit and be a SAHM again. Which would mean a huge switch because he's a stay at home Dad right now. Thankfully he agrees with this and wants to go back to work. We're not rushing into it but we're preparing to switch roles in the next two-three months. I may ask to switch to a different location but my company has in the last year abandoned it's previous position of giving a crap about it's employee's. Our turn over rate is insane.

1. College. Lol! We just got done with a 3500+ mile trek to TX, AL, and FL.

2. I have to clean out my car, go see DH for dinner on his boat during duty, and then Sunday we have shopping and prep for the sub ball next weekend!

1. Studying for my last of 7 liscening exams. Hopefully taking it by end of May and will be able to say I am a Registered Architect by June! Its been a long process with 7yrs of school, over 5600 of required internship hours logged, and 7 (4-6hr long) exams. I cannot wait to be done.

2. Friday night DH and I are going out with some friends sans DS. Saturday I am excited to take DS to the park for the first time this year. Sunday will be spent mostly studying for the above mentioned exam.

1) My daughter will be starting high school this year. I am so excited for her but it has also has dawned on me that I'm getting older lol

2) I will be spending the weekend withy nieces n nephews n my lil sis. Hopefully the weather is nice and we can take them bike riding in the park.

1. Finishing out the academic year takes all my strength! April on University campuses is out of control....

2. I am at a conference with 50 undergraduates from my university. I am so impressed with all of their hard work!

@jlove253 Thanks! I am excited about the trip itself. I love working with this age group! Our church is only 6 years old so this is the first one we have done for the 4th and 5th graders. We have done many with the youth groups though.

As long as I can get some sleep and eat often enough I'll be good, I hope!

1. Other than being knocked up, nothing too crazy! My husband finally has real time home, so I've been loving it! We've been married almost 7 years come august, and this will be the first consecutive year we've lived together!

2. This weekend we'll be in San Diego a bunch! My husbands friend invited us over for dinner Saturday. Sunday my very best friends daughter is having her birthday party. So a lot of fun up ahead!

1. Bought my first house last week!
Now I'm super nervous there will be enough room. Its only a 2 bedroom, thinking of adding a second story eventually and that gives me hope ( except when I think of cost. Lol)

2. Unpacking!!! These boxes everywhere are driving me nuts.

1) We are in the process of selling our condo, and buying our first house. Both closing scheduled for the end of the month, which is so exciting, but also means I need to think about packing!

2) DH and I flew down to DC for the weekend. He's never been, so we're doing the typical tourist thing. Lots of fun! We have a White House tour scheduled for tomorrow- can't wait!
