YES. This is something that is not often brought up. We can all be pro-choice and our answers will all be different on when it's ok or not ok to terminate a pregnancy. But we all agree that it is my decision to make for myself.

Well to be honest, I can take hormonal birth control. I just won't. To me, the negative effects of hormones are more annoying than condoms. So there's your answer.

I haven't gotten through the whole thread yet, but I'm on the same page as @peanutmuse. My H and I use condoms for BC b/c I don't like the side affects of hormonal BC.

@pashon432 my H doesn't like recycling because we have to pay (it's seriously $10/mo.).

My H's UO is that he hates celebrating birthdays. Even for KIDS! Luckily he knows that his UO isn't welcome and he better celebrate my birthday and our kids' birthdays each year.

MY UO's are lame... I'll just borrow DH's for now.

@bethughknee hearing someone who had a conservative Christian upbringing being willing to be open to new viewpoints is awesome. That's why a lot of people who are pro-choice prefer the term anti-choice to pro-life. Pro-choice doesn't equal pro abortion. There are tons of people who are pro-choice who would never have an abortion. I'm glad the vast majority of ladies on this board are reasonable people.

The problem with some of the people out there who feel like they need to YELL AND TELL EVERYONE THEY ARE A CHRISTIAN is that they are smearing the good name of Believer. They spread more hate than they do love and that's just not what Christianity is about. Sometimes I wonder if some people scratched "judge not, lest you be judged" out of their Bibles so they didn't have to see it anymore.

@bethughknee‌ I think we did a book thread a while back but be fun to do another one since we have some newer members. @MarBee1214‌ I'll join the my husband has outdated views club. When I told him about the rear facing until two guideline, he said no way that's not how it was when E was younger. Yeah well she's seven now things have changed. I have a friend whose child's life was saved in a horrible car accident because she was still rear facing. That was about 6 years ago and I've been a believer in that since.

I have no idea how people who have never experienced something have the biggest opinions about it. Why do you think telling us over and over how horrible it is will change people's minds about it? I have researched exactly what happens because I have gone through it. I am not going to say that it was easy on me especially when certain dates go by but my cone procedure for cancer cells was more invasive. I know it would've been much harder to carry a baby to term and then hand him over. I love my little guy more than anything in the world but I know I made the right decision at the time.

So this is what happens while I was stuck traveling solo with an infant and toddler across an ocean.... To the OP who brought up the abortion debate: I am willing to bet you've never been faced to make that decision before....Women have been fighting for their rights for hundreds of years. I damn well do not want anyone else making such a monumental life altering decision for me. Besides the way I look at it, I would never have had my DD and DS if I were to have made a different decision sixteen years ago...So yeah, eff off.
