WE haven't done a thing! I know we have plenty of time but it seems like everyone gets an early start. I plan on ordering the cribs in the next couple of weeks.
We don't need to paint the room, it was alrady blue! So we don't have that much to do but... do you think I should get going?

Re: When did you start the nursery?
I just recently started because my doctor puts everyone carrying twins on strict bedrest at 26-28 weeks. We only have the dresser so far, but my FIL is building the cribs. ?He is almost done with one of them and will be shipping in February. The other we won't get until they come down 1 month after the babies are born. Everyone is different so I wouldn't worry. The only think I have heard is that some cribs take 6-8 wks to ship. Good Luck!!

We cleaned the room out (there wasn't much in it) about a month ago. I have a painter coming out in a few weeks and the carpet cleaners. When the painter is done my friend is coming over to paint some stuff on the walls to match the bedding. I ordered the crib at 20 weeks and it's not here yet so all we have in the room is the glider. I ordered the mattress and that is being shipped right now. This week we are buying some closet inserts from Home Depot or Lowes to make better use of the closet space. I also plan on getting a lamp and curtains this weekend. I'm not sure what else we have to do besides put the crib and dresser together when they arrive.
I don't feel pressure yet so I think I'm doing ok. lol!

Wow Lisa! How exciting.
I think you still have plenty of time. I know for myself though the second we find out the sex of our baby(ies) that I will be decorating! I have been dreaming about that for years....how have you held off?
Anyway, I'm so excited for you....can't wait to see how you decorate.
FYI....starting stims one week from today. I hope I can finally join you soon!
Um, we haven't started yet...
We do have all the furniture, bedding, decorations, etc. sitting in our garage. However we just bought a new house last month, and we've been working feverishly to get it ready for us to move into next week. We figure the baby will be in our room for the 1st month or two, so that is the last room we're focusing on.
I feel so unprepared and inadequate when I read everyone's posts about having their nurseries completed at 25-26 weeks.

We have the room cleaned out and will be painting in the next couple of weeks. The furniture will be delivered on January 16. Before then, we're painting, getting a light installed and getting the carpets cleaned. After then we'll put in the bedding and decorate.
I think you're fine about not starting yet, but I would suggest that you order the cribs soon. My store said 8-10 weeks for delivery and I would want to have everything done before I got too big/put on bedrest!
We started around 25 weeks buying stuff...we have the glider, changing table, armoire, and toy chest). We still need to get our glider reupholstered, the painter is coming this week, and the crib - we will buy it after our shower next week. I feel like I am racing against time!
We are complete and total freaks about getting stuff done early. At about 12-14 weeks, we had the carpet ripped out and laminate wood installed. And we had the room repainted. We wanted to get that done before it got too cold to air out the house.
Then the ILs bought our cribs in early November. We put them up the weekend before Thanksgving (had a party and wanted those to be in the room instead of huge boxes). Then we bought a glider and dresser. And just this weekend, we hung paintings that were a gift from DH's aunt/cousin (cousin is a big time artist) and put up our polka dots.
We're nearly done now. But, I'm worried about bed rest coming before I can get the room done. And the babies are NOT sleeping in our room. They'll be in their room from the get-go.
