Thanks to @elmoali I know that swim diapers don't hold in any pee and you can't use them in your car seat, for example. But I am feeling very dumb about everything else related to swim diapers right now and could use some assistance
We are headed to the west coast of Florida in two weeks and will be staying in a resort that has both pool and beach. We will use both during our stay.
I imagine that we need to put a regular diaper on LO until right before we get in the pool or ocean when we'd switch to swim diaper. When we get out of the water, and are hanging out on the beach or by the pool, do we switch to a regular diaper again? I imagine we would, but I also know how often people get in/out of the water on a hot day, and wonder if we'd really need to switch between regular diaper/swim diaper each time. Hopefully this makes sense.
Additionally, I bought one of those permanent swim diapers, but I am not sure whether those are better or worse than disposable swim diapers. I imagine that a permanent swim diaper on vacation won't really work because I won't be able to wash it anywhere.
Basically, I have no idea what I am doing. Help!
