Hey ladies! I'm sure most of you know that today is annual Autism Awareness Day. There has been some interesting research coming out recently about when autism develops in a child's brain. Regardless of the causes, risk factors, and outcomes, today is a day to bring awareness that 1 out of every 68 children will be diagnosed with Autism. This is a dramatic increase from the 1 in 88 just two years ago! Many experts believe this increase is due to the increase in awareness among families and physicians. While it is an alarming number the good news is that diagnosis opens doors for families to receive appropriate interventions and services. So spread the word! Rock the blue in support of World Autism Awareness Day!!!!
