We have had first names picked out for a long time but seconds were a bit tougher. We try to use a family name for middles and my DD and DS were easy picks. This one was a bit tougher but we have settled on Avery Poppy for a girl and Aidan Johannes for a boy.
We're pretty set on the boy name, no where near ready on the girl name. (Team Green) And it's not like we don't agree on stuff...we actually have really similar taste there just aren't any girl's names we're loving right now.
We have two names, Grace and Caroline, that we both equally like so it's just a matter of choosing between the two. Elizabeth will be the middle name.
I am in no hurry to choose but also will not wait to see what she looks like to decide becuse I don't want to potentially create any more stress or commotion that day so we will decide before going to the hospital.
Team Green here, but we have decided for sure on a girl name--Savannah Rose, but are still up in the air about a boy's name. We had 2 that we liked, but now are second guessing. Jackson Daniel, Chase ?, or Elijah ?
We've managed to narrow it down to a name and mn that we like and both agree on, but I don't think we're solidifying anything anytime soon. And no one will know the name before she is born (except for a few of my fake friends )
We had a name finalized a few weeks after we found out it was a girl. H has been more hesitant in telling people her name because of unwanted opinions, but I love it regardless of what anyone thinks, so I have no issues telling people.
We decided months ago. Once we had a name we both loved we stopped coming up with anything new, we tend to be indecisive. The fewer options the better. We are not telling anyone the name until he's born though, for the same reasons other people have mentioned; I don't want your opinion. Good luck to people still deciding, it's so hard!
We decided shortly after finding out LO was a girl. Her name will be Luella Rose, after his grandmother that passed (Luella) and Rose after my grandma. And we'll call her Lulu, so his other grandma doesn't feel left out (Marylou). My other grandma is a non issue since I haven't talked to her in about 10 years ( her choosing)
If this had been on posted on Saturday I would have said yes 99% sure we will be using the name James Christopher. As of Sunday we have both started to flop on the name James and are now thinking maybe Bradley. It is strange to be changing it now after calling him James for the last 8 weeks.
First name is picked but we are battling on the middle name (Mae is my choice, Marie is his). I'm planning on not bringing it up again until she is here and do the "it should be my choice...look went I just went through" routine!

Oddly enough, if I had been boy I would have been named James Christopher..so I'm partial to it!

Why the flop from James? I love it! I would've considered it if it didn't clash with our last name.
I voted ss. We have a girl's name picked out, but can't make a final decision on a boy's name. I'm guessing that means this baby is a boy. Wah wah wah.
For some reason, our kids aren't named until after they are born. With Dd we were undecided (reviewing the SS list in the hospital with her already born). She didn't have a name until she was at least 24hours, maybe more. Ds was named shortly after birth. Nothing was really compelling to me. We don't have a firm rule about naming. I wouldn't mind having a name now because I feel like I've been through them all and our list is what it is. Dh thinks some new amazing name is going to miraculously come to him at some point. Nothing is really the one, so I feel he should just pick already from our agreed upon list. Maybe it will start feeling more right.
Obviously, I don't think there is anything wrong with not having a name already picked.
