I will tell you all this in 2010 I lost a baby, he was still born. and after my husband and I had discussed and decided we didn't want a big funeral and were just fine with the ceremony the hospital provided she tried to get my mom (who is suffering with Alzheimers) to get on her side and "convince" my husband and I that a funeral is "What we needed to grieve."
This is the same woman who tried to convince me to give the same baby up for adoption to my SIL earlier during the pregnancy.
Haha my mil has called every name we've come up with dog names so we've decided to keep our chosen name secret from her and have to hear name suggestions non stop. I am white, she is Latino and loves Latino names but I'm not about to look like I'm babysitting my own child.
i don't even . . . where to begin?
1) white and latino are not mutually exclusive. there are white latinos. so i can only assume what you mean is that your MIL (and presumably DH) is brown and/or Spanish-speaking.
2) your child's name will have no impact on whether or not it looks like you're babysitting you're own child.
3) "latino" names are awesome. especially compared with some of the completely ridiculous nonsense people name their kids these days. like Legna.
4) ah crap, i guess i look like i'm babysitting my own kid, JAVIER. good thing i call him JJ, otherwise--how embarrassing! it totally matters whether the mommies and nannies at the playground realize he's my child.
5) congrats, i've been on TB for nearly 2 years, and your post is the single dumbest thing i've ever read.
