Who cares if people choose to have a second shower!? I never even brought it up and have been asked when my shower is by almost every one of my friends and family members... And this is my second son! If you're friends and family care about you then why wouldn't they want to celebrate baby? I could care less if they bring any presents... It's baby that matters and it's nice to know people are excited for you!

Oh so if they don't throw you a SECOND SHOWER then they don't care?! Gotcha.

You did read the thread right? OP is doing it for the gifts (or diapers we're still not sure) because this one has a peen.

FYI, if there aren't presents it's not a shower. Showers are for "showering" the guest of honor with gifts. I'm really not sure how many times that has to be explained, but apparently 1013909813 times is not enough.
Nobody said you can't throw a "meet the baby" barbecue or something.
No, I'm saying if they choose to throw you one then it shouldn't be such a big deal. I could go to any shower of my friends and family and have no issue buying a present whether it was their first or 4th child. Every baby matters and a shower is a celebration. And yes, if her friends and family care for them like my family cares for me then buying a pack of diapers for their loved one isn't going to matter to them I'm sure.

There's this thing called etiquette. Most people don't throw second showers because they're generally viewed as tacky, not because every baby doesn't matter to them. I think the "every baby matters" argument is silly.
