I have a MIL rant. We stopped over there last week because its so much easier to go over there than have her come here because I can't get rid of her. While there I noticed that she printed all of the proofs from LOs pictures from the photographers Facebook page and had them all over the house. Are you effing kidding me?! I told her she wasn't supposed to do that and we were buying the rights (over $500) to the pictures and she could print them legally at that point. She got snippy with me and told me she didn't care and I better not "tattle on her". Needless to say she will not have access to the CD when I get it. Then when we were at brunch with my family for my Dad's birthday (which my mother graciously invited her to join us for) she got on my moms case about not having a brag book and she just printed all the pictures from facebook for hers. This woman will be the death of me I swear!
@Rad&Co that sounds like something my MIL would say. She was upset last time we were out there because LO was sleeping and "she is never going to recognize us or our house" if she's always sleeping. Really?! I may think my baby is smart but I don't think she's that advanced that she already recognizes places and faces she's seen a handful of times.
My bitching for the day : DH is so sweet and really tries to help me around the house doing chores - doing dishes, sweeping the floor, doing laundry, etc. - but he is SO BAD at it! The glasses are still a bit dirty after he washed them, there are always crumbs on the floor... I can't get mad at him because he really tries to help, but the clean freak in me is getting desperate to be able to put the baby down sometimes so I can tidy my house and stop feeling like I live in the filthiest environment ever!
On the topic of weight I lost 20lbs within the first week and a half, but I gained 50 overall. I have not lost anymore since. I can't wear anything but yoga pants still!!! I want to wear normal clothes!
I'm in the exact same situation! All I wear is yoga pants and pyjamas, and going outside is quite a challenge - the only thing that barely fits is my pair of maternity jeans...
Miliska yes! my DH is like that too. My peev is having the floor clean. he tries, but never gets under the fridge, gets all the dog hair, and just misses little spots in general. I've learned to let it go; just because it isn't my way doesn't mean it's wrong, and if it isn't perfect it doesn't matter. (that has become my mantra ; ) )
I don't know if it's possible but I think my rib cage expanded in pregnancy. I tried on an old dress for fun since I've lost most of the weight (+- 5lbs) but it's like 3 inches shy of zipping up around my ribs!! Wtf... It was custom for before and my boobs are not that much bigger... Insert ugly cry.
Yes, it is possible because it happened to me. Before I had ds I was a 34. Then I was a 36. Now, after dd, I'm in a 38! I can't fit in old dresses either. (
So my sister was here this weekend and it was a disaster. As if taking care of a newborn wasn't enough, she managed to create more work for DH and me. She made breakfast on Saturday morning but didn't clean up the kitchen afterwards (even after I reminded her that we were having more visitors that day) and left the dogs outside while it was raining then didn't wipe their feet off so they tracked mud all over the house. She complained about being bored anytime she wasn't holding the baby and kept walking in on me when I was breast feeding/pumping even though I repeatedly asked her not to. Not to mention she finished off my DHs $100+ bottle of scotch that he was saving.
Now my MIL is here guilt tripping me for not inviting her to come over today because she is on spring break this week.
Lol sound machines too loud... When we are stuck in the car and J gets fussy... We crank that static radio station (saved station #6) up to the point that we can't talk over it. Hushes her right up.
Also - took inside baby j to the Seahawks vs Saints game (record breaking loud). She's passed her hearing test with flying colors.
We use a fan not pointed towards Colton. All of my kids have had a fan for noise and the older boys can't sleep without one now. But we live in humid hot Florida so a fan is needed anyway!
