If you plan on bf-ing, look for anything that will double as maternity/nursing gear. Last time I found a couple dresses at Target that I could also nurse in. I definitely got my money's worth out of those dresses!
What makes an item good for nursing? New to this so not sure!
Also anyone seen any maternity coats they could link to? My friend is due in April and she wore this tent like jacket (not even a warm coat!!) all winter long (and it's been a long one!) so I want to make sure I have a good cute coat for fall. I saw an awesome one that converts to a coat for baby wearing, but it's $150!
A lot of items have nursing access, this is something I wish I would have know the first go around since you live in nursing clothes and the hassel to try to nurse in non-nursing friendly shirts isn't worth it. My favorite online store is Mother's Boutique. I wore a cape for the winter and a sweater under since I couldn't even zip up my maternity coat.
Take a peek at Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls, and/or Burlington Coat Factory. Some have maternity sections and you can get name brand duds for cheap. (we're lucky in Colorado as we have all 4 of these stores)
Also, check out your local thrift or task force. I've found some jeans and shirts that we're too badly stretched for a couple bucks.
