I can't believe I'm actually announcing this. We are over the moon excited. I was placed on HBR Thursday March 6th for pre-eclapmsia. Things got bad over the weekend with low iron levels and swelling, and my blood pressure was all over the board, high then low the high then low. So Sunday afternoon they decided to wait till Tuesday to run any more test and to have a stress test on the Babies done. Well Monday AM my nurse came in at 4am to check blood pressure(like they were doing every 4 hours) and she drew blood(she wasn't supposed to the dr hadn't updated my chart), then my results came back and at 6:30 they were waking me up to let me know the kids were coming today(3/10)!! So my c-section got scheduled I called my husband told him to get to hospitial ASAP. Called my parents in Miami and told them to get on the road(they were on stand by so it all worked out) and the inlaws we're already at the house helping my husband out since I got put on bed rest.
So at 1:13, 1:14, & 1:15 my little ones arrived. With each cry of the kids in the OR, I was able to take a sigh of relief. Even though baby C(Kyra) Was being stubborn and didn't want to come out. They were taken to the Nicu and my husband went with them. I was in so much pain from the c-section they had to knock me out for the second part of the c-section. I awoke hours later not being able to feel my lower half and finding it hard to breath. Let me tell you ladies that are FTM's.....c-sections suck. Yes i had triplets and my experience is WAY different but nobody tells you about the aftermath, my post partum recovery for the first week was absolute hell, but thats a whole different story.
As of now my trips are doing great. They were born at 32 weeks weighing 4.2, 3.11, 3.7 lbs. The nurses kept saying how big they were for 32 weekers, and they are still holding that up in the NICU today as they turn 3 weeks old. Hoping to have them home soon, the whole NICU life is so stressful and emotionally challenging. But on the up side I'm getting 8 hours of sleep at night(Thanks to the pain killers) and have been able to recovery.
So without further Delay meet the Triplets!
