A little frustrated with OB...(vent)

I posted last week about strange symptoms that I've been having lately: flashes of light in eyes, shortness of breath, horrible headaches, nail beds turning purple, etc.

I'm still experiencing all these symptoms, and today I feel faint and I have a low BP (97/55) with a heart rate of 91.  I know low BP is normal, but my nails keep turning purple.  So confused, but they keep telling me I'm fine!  I don't feel fine.

    Are the flashes of light and head ache together? That could be a a migraine. I think some women get them the first time during pregnancy.

    I am a migraine sufferer, but pregnancy actually makes mine better.  Go figure.  Anyway, the flashes and headache are not together.

    I agree with a second opinion or insisting on getting in to see the OB. My OB's rule on BP is any top number below 100 and above 180 I need to come in and any bottom number below 50 or above 100 get in to be seen.

    My blood pressure is always in that range when pregnant. 

    I'm sorry you're frustrated. If you're concerned, seek a second opinion or schedule an appointment with your doctor to speak about it specifically.

    For the second opinion, you could totally go to your regular doctor just to make sure there is not something non-pregnancy related that is wrong.

    Thanks, everyone!  I did call the doctor and they say I'm ok.  I have an appointment Friday, so I'll speak with them then.

    Do you have a PCP? You could try getting in with them in the meantime.

    I used to work for an ophthalmologist and flashes of light could mean a detached retina, which would need to be addresses by a specialist. Hopefully it's nothing!
