I was impatient for the NT scan. Now that I know baby's growing well, I'm more than content to wait for each stage of pregnancy to come when it might. I'm happy to find out the sex in May at our anatomy scan.
We are doing a chromosomal blood test at 10 weeks and will find out the sex. It is elective so we are paying $250 out-of-pocket but it's worth it IMHO. I want to start decorating the nursery in pink/blue!

We're waiting until the 20-week anatomy scan. I don't feel comfortable getting extra ultrasounds, especially on non-regulated machines. Our OB offers a 16-week ultrasound for those who want/need extra monitoring, but we are low risk and a few extra weeks of daydreaming doesn't bother me.
I'm scheduled for the MaterniT21 test next Friday so hopefully within a couple weeks we will know!! I'm really excited that I don't have to wait for the 20 wk u/s to find out this time.
I have always wanted to wait until the baby was born. Now I find myself going back and forth. I think it would be a great surprise to wait, but we've been throwing around girl names for almost 6 weeks and we have completely opposite taste. I am going to wait still, I think. SO might just have to let me have the girl name since he has decided the boy name haha.
I already found out from my Panorama test, which I may or may not be paying plenty for, depending on how things play out with my insurance company, but I don't think I'd pay for the extra scan to find out the sex a few weeks earlier. My OB's office offers it, though, so if I did want it, I'd be more comfortable knowing I could have it done there.
My OB does a quick u/s every time I go in. I have my NT scan tomorrow (12w4d) and am curious to hear what the tech guesses. Otherwise I have 15w and 17w OB appointments and should find out then. I haven't paid a penny for medical visits thus far (yay HMO!) and can't bring myself to spend the extra money at a 3rd party place to know a whole 1-3 weeks early. It's only $45 here in SoCal, but still, that $ could be spent on the pretty maternity dress I've been eying for a wedding this August!
Just like with my son I will get an early 3d/4d u/s done just after 15 weeks to find out the sex. It is only $69, which is no bog deal and worth it to me With DS we had to go back to the elective place as they could not determine the first time due to him not in crossing is legs and getting a good enough shot. They said 80% boy, but have a 100% certaintity clause in the fine print.
Waiting till the 20 week a/s. I felt like I had no problem waiting with DS but now I feel impatient. I think it's bc if it's a boy- we have some work to do on a name! We already have a girl name and we will inevitably need some different clothes for a girl, which will be fun for me plus I feel like when I can tell DS you have a little ______ coming- it will be neat to talk about w him.
