My sister in law had hellp. She went in for one of her weekly appointments (I think 38 wks). She had high Bp, was sweating, and had some nausea. She had some weird headache and "off" feelings for a few weeks prior to that appt. her nurse recognized her symptoms and she actually had an emergency c-section that same day. She didn't get to leave the hospital after her appt until after her baby was born.

Oh wow. that's scary. I've been googling my symptoms and hellp popped up
Usually, (although not always), you have pre-e concurrently or before developing hellp. Symptoms of pre-e include high bp, swelling, edema, head aches, vision changes, protein in your urine, etc. But there are some cases (albeit, rare cases) where it develops independently.

One of my best friends had HELLP... she had an emergency c-section at 30 weeks. She felt horrible for almost a week and finally went to the ER due to extreme upper abdominal pain. They did a CT scan on her and her liver was extremely inflamed, she had some swelling in her face and her platelet count was low. Anyway... she was in rough shape, but thankfully she and her little guy are doing well now. Like PP said, stay away from google and talk to your Dr if you're having an issue. Good luck!

My good friend developed HELLP at 32 weeks. Her only real symptom was that she vomited. She wasn't even going to call her doc but decided to check in. He had her come in, and she had an emergency C-section later that day....
I don't think it is very common to be asymptomatic (or virtually asymptomatic) with HELLP. Now sometimes the onset can be rather quick and you can go from fine to really sick quickly, but neither severe pre-e nor hellp is something you are going to walk around with for weeks and not know about.
My cousin who had hellp was really sick. When I developed pre-e (albeit, not HELLP), I was screaming from the roof tops that something wasn't right weeks before I was finally diagnosed due to the swelling and bad headaches.

If you had HELLP, googling it would be the biggest waste of time on the planet. Tick tock, time is very valuable. You wouldn't be wondering if something was wrong with you, you'd have called by now and you'd be getting seen.
I had HELLP, I almost died. It is no joke and Dr. Google isn't going to help you. Call you doctor. If you suspect something serious like this, get your butt to the hospital and stop fucking around on a message board.
She either died wasting time on here when she should have been calling a medical professional, or was looking way too much into symptoms. A headache and a pre-e or HELLP headache are two different things. One sucks and sends you to google. The other makes you want to kill yourself and incapable of looking at a computer screen to google. There is stomach pain caused by gas and constipation, maybe even a sluggish gall bladder that may send you to google and then there is the pain that someone with HELLP experiences as their liver starts to faill. Also making you incapable of sitting down in front of a computer to google. So my guess is on the latter. But I do think calling a medical professional is always better than googling or coming on here.
OP I hope you called. Even if for just peace of mind.
