I'm due the 9th, so I'll probably schedule my leave to start on Monday the 7th. Then I'll get paid for 4th of July but really only have to work until the 3rd! As much as I'd like to work til my water breaks, I have a feeling I won't be feeling that way in July. Plus, the 3rd is our 7th anniversary of being together (and ten days before our first wedding anniversary!) so we can celebrate that and me being off work!
I'm due July 9th but having a RCS I'm planning on going in on July 2nd. The end of the month is crazy in my industry so I'm hoping to work until June 30th, take off on the 1st and have him on the 2nd. In a perfect world....
Last time I went on disability 2 months early as I had severe SPD and PUPPPs. I'm crossing all my body parts that I don't get PUPPPs again and this time my SPD is managable....so far.
I want to work until I go in for my RCS, unless my doc advises otherwise. I *might* take off a few days early, but I don't start getting paid for my short term disability until baby is here (unless I'm put on bed rest or something). So financially, I really need to work until the bitter end haha
I will be working until I go into labor (hopefully) unless the doctor tells me otherwise. I hope to work as long as possible because one of my co-workers took 2 weeks before her due date off and her little one made her appearance 2 weeks after her due date, she said she regrets “wasting” almost 4 weeks of maternity leave sitting around waiting….I don’t want that to be me.
I am lucky enough to have an office job that isn't too horribly stressful. My husband's office is literally less than a mile from mine, and we car pool every day. As an added bonus, the hospital is 5 minutes from my office and about 25 from my house, so it actually would be better if I went into labor at work :-)
My last quarterly earnings period is the last week of June, when I'm 37 weeks along. I hope to have my replacements fully trained up before then, so the following weeks are just tying up loose ends. I won't actually stop working until I go into labor - or if I have a scheduled C-section - until a day or two before.
I was thinking I'd work til the last minute, but I think I'll say my due date is my last day either way. Would be nice to spend some time with DS1 before DS2 arrives.
