I usually search on pinterest according to my theme/colors and find stuff I like, then hopefully it leads me right to the etsy shop or website I can buy it from. I think pinterest is easier to find things I like with their search option than trying to actually navigate through etsy.

I enjoy looking for ideas on Pinterest and then heading to the craft store and buying what I need to make it myself. Never anything elaborate but I find its fun to do and saves a ton of money. I especially did it when I was going through my hot and heavy nesting stage ( where did it go?)

We found wall art at a paint store and I noticed some at Home Depot the other day. It's cheaper than at the baby stores!

I should have done more DIY stuff myself being an artist, but since moving i still haven't had time to set up my crafting area.

I have an awesome collection of "big eye art" (Keen, Mao, Gig, etc.) in kitschy ornate frames that I thought Id hang, but I don't want to destroy the wallpaper.

I think with the popularity of gallery walls, you can create a nice motif with a mix of thrift store finds, sentimental pieces, and non picture wall hung items. I actually much prefer this to generic art and matchy-matchy crap.

I also like "adult art" (meaning not specifically baby intended... Art gallery worthy?) in nurserys. Very chic.

I still say, go with Etsy. I was overwhelmed too when I searched, but you can't beat the selections. Specifically, I ordered from DreamKidsDecal:

I haven't gotten my decals yet, but the shop owner was AWESOME and very attentive. I sent a pic of my Baby Girl's nursery and she super imposed the design I wanted on to it. We loved it. The decals ship from China (of course) so they take about 3 weeks to get here. The reviews are really good. Here's a pic of what the owner did for us!
