Bi-Weekly Wine and Cheese Party

Good Afternoon Lovely Ladies!

It's that time again. This is our bi-weekly check in, condensed version. Feel free to let us know how life is; you can b!tch, you can moan, you can brag, you can cry, whatever you want. Enjoy!

Ladies, this will be my last party posting. Uneek has graciously accepted the role of party planner and will be leading the check-in from now on. It's been my pleasure to eat cheese and drink wine with you every other Friday! And, since it is my last party, we are going out with a huge spread <:-P

QOTW: Do you do a March Madness bracket? If so, how are you doing? If not, do you have a favorite NCAA basketball team?

I'm a teacher, and today is our last day before two week spring break starts - Yaayyy!!!  I plan on catching up on a whole lot of Netflix and reading, and I'll consider it a good break if I have at least a few days where I never get out of my PJs or leave the house. :D

Not much exciting happening on the TTC front, just in the 2WW of our fourth Clomid cycle.  I think it's time for hubby and I to start discussing where we go from here - next steps would be a fertility clinic, unfortunately the closest one to us is 11 hours' drive away and anything we do will be completely OOP.  We've put off talking about if we will try to pursue further treatment or not, choosing to bury our heads in the sand and just hope the Clomid works, but I feel like it's probably past time to broach the subject and start making some decisions.  I have a feeling treatment won't really be an option, I just don't see how we can make doing it from such a distance work, let alone afford it in the first place.  But I guess we'll see what we come up with.

ETA:  Forgot the QOTW, but no biggie because I don't think I even knew what March Madness was until I saw it posted about on these boards, so obviously I have no brackets. ;)

  • @sammer818- I'm sad, but so happy you are leaving us for exciting things! All my best to you!

@gscoville- FX that this cycle is it for you. I know it's hard to make the decision to move forward, but I'm sure you and YH will do what's best for your family

Not much to report here. Still chugging along, waiting to cycle in May. I joined the embryo adoption Facebook group to gain more info on the subject. I also looked into an infertility support group in my area, but apparently they aren't meeting anymore :(    I was really looking forward to that. It would be nice to meet some people in my area and perhaps gain some real-life friends that are struggling.

    QOTW: No bracket here.

@gscoville‌ Fx for this cycle and I hope you and DH can come up with a plan that works if you need to. I love your definition of a successful spring break!

@jbasore1123‌ sorry to hear about the support group! That sucks to get your hopes up. Are you liking the FB group?

  • I took femara this cycle and had my monitoring u/s yesterday, but I wasn't ready to trigger yet. I'll have another u/s Monday with IUI on maybe Wednesday if I trigger that night. The only problem now is that MH has to work that day from 6 am to 4:30-ish pm and it's going to be tricky. I can't really do a drop off for him in the morning because they won't be there, he refuses to jack off at work (I don't blame him, he works in the ER), and I doubt the staff will want to stay late to do an IUI after 6 pm. So frustrating.

QOTW: The only bracket I have is the hotties bracket we're doing on the board. :P I don't follow basketball.

@uneek1323 Thank you for taking over the check-in!

@gscoville Good luck with your talk. Making those decisions is really stressful.  FX that you don’t need to worry about any future cycles!

@jbasore1123 That’s really disappointing that the group doesn’t meet anymore. I hope that you’re able to discover a group in your area.

@grailseeker14 ((Hugs)) for CD 1. Good luck at the RE appointment.

@rachaeleigh Glad to hear that the needle wasn’t too bad. Good luck with the stimming!

  • @sammer818 Congrats again!!!  Thank you for hosting and I hope you guys have a very uneventful 9 months <3

Nothing really new here.  We're on our 2nd cycle TTC and I'm in my FW this weekend so we'll see.  I had started temping this cycle but I've been so sick and on so many meds that I stopped.  We'll see what happens!

No bracket for me.  But we have mugs at a local bar and they randomly draw teams for you and depending on how your team does you get $!  But DH & I got 16 seated teams.  Fail. As suspected both of our teams lost in round 1.

  • @shandorfml2‌ -(((HUGS))) watching people graduate is hard. I haven't been around that long and I know it difficult to watch people move on while we get left behind.

@luciddreamer106‌ -Boo for your H's work schedule. Maybe your u/s today will show you can hold off an extra day to trigger? FX!

@jbasore1123‌ -That really sucks about the support group. Hopefully you can find something else in your area.
    @Rachaeleigh‌ -GL at your appointment!

@GrailSeeker14‌ -(((Hugs))) for CD1. Glad you are feeling positive about your health & exercise changes!

@gscoville‌ -I hope you and YH can come to a decision that you are both comfortable with, but I hope even more that things work our for you and it isn't even something you need to worry about. ((Hugs))

@jap611‌ -Sorry you have been sick. Hope you're feeling better!

  • Hello ladies! Thanks for being so welcoming to me.

I finally called and got an appointment to see my dr about my weird AFs since my loss. I have been making excuses that it was just my hormones trying to regulate but I know after this long that's likely not the case. I put my BGP on and called two weeks ago but it turns out my dr was on holidays and not back until today. Now I just have to follow through with it.

Forgot to mention above congrats to @sammer818‌ !

  • Sorry I'm so late to the party!

@sammer818 - thank you for being our leader & again, I'm so happy for you!

@gscoville - Ugh - decisions going forward are always so difficult. And it completely sucks that you don't have a clinic closer to you :( I'm so sorry :( Good luck with your decisions going forward - maybe there's a way to make it work. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

@jbasore1123 - I hope the time until May goes by quickly for you! And also that you are able to find more resources for embryo adoption as well as maybe finding another support group in your area. I sometimes also wish I had a network of women near me going through this - I live in a fairly rural area so there aren't a lot of options.

@GrailSeeker14 - Yay for all the healthy changes for you! I'm glad you're making some progress and feeling better!

@Racheleigh - I think I checked in with you on a different thread/check in, but wishing you good luck again as you're going forward with the IUI! Best of luck at your monitoring appointment!

@luciddreamer106 - Good luck with your upcoming appointments - and with your husband's schedule!

    @shandorfml2 - hope that you O soon!

@jap618 - good luck this cycle and in your FW!!

@taberbtb - it sounds like it was a good thing to make the appointment - yes, you definitely need to follow through! Good luck!

As for me... Today I'm 8dp5dt and have had the fewest symptoms of all and three BFNs in a row. I told myself today would be the first day I would let myself test but I just couldn't help myself. I am feeling pretty sure that I am out.... but I am not giving up completely yet as I keep having people tell me it's still on the early side and that there are a lot of women who don't get a positive result until their beta blood draw.  Mine isn't until Monday, so I think if I get to Monday without any bleeding that would be a great sign. So I don't know... just in a waiting game right now.

Thanks so much for the check-in!
