Baby Girl Name Help

Hi Ladies,

It looks like my husband and I are down to two names. We're thinking of doing either:

Eleanor Margaret

or

Margaret Eleanor

We'd likely call her Nellie (FN Eleanor) or Maggie (FN Margaret). My concern with doing Eleanor first is the prevalence of  Ellies and Ellas. 

Thoughts?

    I think Eleanor Margaret sounds better in that order, but I do love the name Maggie!  You could also call Eleanor, Nora which is also very cute!

    I think Margaret Eleanor sounds a little bit better, but I'd call her Margaret instead of Maggie.

    TTC since June 2010.
    DX hypothyroidism, pituitary hyperfunction, and PCOS.
    On med/treatment break indefinitely. Not currently trying.

    Margaret is our top girl choice so I do really like Margaret Eleanor.

    But I also think Nellie or Nora would be so cute!  Both great names, tough choice!

    I dislike Margaret, but Maggie is cute. Eleanor is also pretty.

    I think Eleanor Margaret flows better.  BUT we do know a ton of Ellie's.  I like PP's suggestion of going with Eleanor Margaret with the NN Nora.

    I'm currently in the middle of Sense and Sensibility, so seeing these two names put together makes me think girly sisterhood! :) (although Jane Austen spelled it Elinor)

    I prefer Margaret Eleanor.

    Love them both!! DD is Eleanor and Margaret is in our short list for DD2. Either way a win-win. I love the nickname Nora for Eleanor. My DD's nickname is Ellie - but I honestly have not ran into another "Ellie" yet - just a lot of Ellas though.

    i like margaret eleanor, but both are really pretty. love the nn maggie. i dont think you would have to worry about the ellies and ellas with eleanor as long as you use  nellie as her nn early on.
