Spring?

Does it feel like spring where you are? We had a nice 50F day on the first day of spring but since then it's back to below/near freezing temps and today we're having another snow storm. Although looks like it will be nowhere near the 3" of snow predicted. Still, I need positive warm thoughts so let me know how awesome spring is where you live.

Re: Spring?

  • Spring? What's that?!

We have a couple of inches of snow here in NJ today. Hoping it warms up and stays warm. My winter coat doesn't fit anymore and I refused to buy a maternity one. I have had it with the snow!

  • Not so much.  I *think* the extended forecast is finally calling for some temps steady in the 40s and 50s so we're getting there.  A blizzard swept through here (MA) last night but stayed far enough over the ocean that only the Cape/SE part of the state got any snow.

  • We had a nice weekend a while back and it's been pretty wet and dark since then. Hopefully we're in for a good weekend though. There's no point in it being nice when you're stuck at work anyway.

We're still having some cool nights, but the wildflowers are starting to bloom, so that makes it feel like Spring for me.

It is snow covered here in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia). When I was like 4 weeks preg I saw this really nice black wool maternity coat in a consignment shop for $12bucks, I didn't buy telling myself it wasn't necessary and that I'd get by with my regular coats. Well my regular coats haven't zipped or buttoned in awhile and I curse myself everyday because apparently this is the winter that never ends.
  • I live in GA and it's 30 freaking degrees outside right now. I am so annoyed.

Here, it usually gets a good bit warmer by now. I know I shouldn't complain b/c at least we aren't getting snow anymore (or so I hope), but I am tired of the cold weather.

I will try to suck it up b/c supposedly, starting on Sunday, our temps are going to hang around in the 70's for most of next week.

No spring here yet. Just piles and piles of snow that probably won't melt until about July at this rate. 16 degrees right now or single digits with windchill. This is the part of the year when I ask myself why anyone lives in Minnesota.
  • Nope. We got some more snow yesterday, though it didn't really accumulate. The sun is out today but it's -19 Celcius with the windchill. I'm over it.

  • Here in northeast Ohio, we woke up to at least 4-5 inches of fresh snow this morning. It was only 14 degrees when I went to the gym this morning. Brrrrrr! I'm in the minority and love the snow, but I am ready for warmer temps.

  • I'm not real sure where spring is here. We had a few days in the 60's and 2 Saturdays ago it was 75 and then the next day 33 and snowy...what the heck?! I'm so ready for the snow and cold to go away!

  • yeap no spring here. 6ft snow banks, blizzard warning for today and more snow predicted at the weekend. Everyone is worried about flooding when spring does finally arrive.
  • I'm in Ontario and it's freezing still had a white out blizzard yesterday and were expecting another 2-4 cm tomorrow which turn to freezing rain and it's still below 0 I can't it anymore :(

  • We had a nice day last Saturday, but then it got cold again. We got a tiny amount of snow yesterday (no real accumulation) here in SW Ohio, but I am ready for it to warm up so DD can play outside and run off some of her energy!

  • New here, but to give you hope... Utah is in full spring mode! It was 70 degrees yesterday and has consistantly been in the 60's! Everyone else is getting the snow we usually get... I would say I will take it back, but ya know :)
  • I woke up and if was in the mid 40s this morning... I live in FL. Lame!

  • We have a typical rainy spring day lined here for today and tomorrow (snow in the mountains, though)...but yesterday it was sunny and 70F (UT)!  I actually opened the sunroof on my car and drove with windows down - a first for this year.  The daffodils and crocuses are out.  My hyacinths have started to leaf out, but no signs of flower heads yet.  Some birch and poplar trees are even budding.  Another cool sign of spring are all the baby lambs and calves in our town.  They are so darn cute.

  • No Spring over here. In the 30s with strong winds and a chance of snow.

  • It's basically been spring in Arizona since January. 80's this week - which is boarder line too hot! I'm close to turning on the A/C in the afternoon!

  • The weather here in Texas keeps going back and forth.  It'll be warmer for like 2-3 days and then get cold again.  Just stay warm already!

We call that summer over here!

DH always jokes that when he first met me I was wearing a winter coat in June (in Chicago). Although I don't consider my pea coat a winter coat, that's my fall/spring coat, in winter I need down. I'd say spring here is May, then 3-4 months of summer, October is fall and winter goes November to April. I really need to move somewhere warmer.

  • I'm in Southern California, its been spring since October.  Though today is a little overcast and I was forced to wear a long sleeve today.  Looking at low 60s today and 70s and sunny this weekend.  Three weeks ago we had a weekend where it hit over 90.
  • We live in central Ohio, so the weather never ever lines up with the season we are in. :-<

Last week we had a couple days in the 50's and this week it's stayed 35 and below. Yesterday we were even hit with a mini blizzard. I'm so ready for sunny and 60+! It's not looking good for our outdoor maternity photos next week! X_X

  • Nope, still wearing my winter down coat today. It is supposed to be in the 50s this Sunday so that's something.

  • Yes, we've had some 75 degree days, which have felt amazing. But we're also in a horrible drought & really didn't need spring to start quite so soon.

  • I like to think so. Florida doesn't really have seasons. It's either really hot or kind of cold. It's really hot right now!

    It's a BOY

  • Western NY here (Rochester) and it was low 20s and snowing again today! We are all totally over it and not convinced that spring/summer will ever come. I also think I'll be bringing baby girl home in a winter coat.
    :((

Someone thinks that it will be in the 40s and 50s after today. We shall see...

    Isabella & Julian & and now #3!
  • No spring here in Chicago either!  Today's high is 40 and when I pulled up the 10 day forecast it doesn't show much improvement!  It stinks, my shower is the 5th and I was hoping it would be nicer by then.  I will be a little chilly in the dress I wanted to wear.

I too am getting too big for my winter coat so I just don't zip or button it any longer.  I am on strike with winter boots.  I refuse to wear them (even though it snowed yesterday.)  They are just too hard to put on anymore.

What's a pea coat?? JK! But really, that's the only coat I own... You can be jealous of me now but it will be over 100 when I deliver this baby! And will stay that way til the end of September.

  • It was a gorgeous 86 yesterday. I don't think I've turned on the heater this entire "winter." The air conditioning has been a different story.

  • It was 70 last Friday and then dropped back down. Yesterday was pretty at 50 degrees and I made it to the botanical gardens in STL, MO but today is rainy and cold. Now everyone in my family has colds, happy my immune system has kicked in and I haven't caught it yet. F this! I am ready for spring!
