I woke up from a dream that I had went to my post surgery follow up and the doctor was listening to my stomach for a heartbeat and there was one. He ran and got a second doctor to listen and they agreed. I said how can this be I had a d&c what are the chances? and he said on in a million, it's a miracle. I woke up half asleep and confused thinking it was real for a moment.

what a fricking shitty way to start off a Monday. I know it is my brain's way of processing but boy do I want to just stay home and cry today. Not an option so I have to soldier on.

Anyone else have dreams about their loss? How long did the dreams last for?

    I had very vivid dreams when I was pregnant of the baby at various stages, but not since the loss.

    I'm so sorry you dealt with it this morning and hope that you have a better day.

    PG#1 - 3rd cycle BFP. Team Green. HELLP syndrome @ 34 weeks.
    Later diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, possible link to HELLP.

    PG#2 M/C 3/14 - Surprise BFP 2/13. Beta's doubled every 52 hours from 3w5d-5w5d
    Viable pregnancy scan at 5w5d; 2nd u/s showed 2 days of growth in 7 but a HB of 120
    3rd u/s on 3/10/14 had no HB and baby had only grown 7 days over 14
    D&C 3/17/14 - complications - DX Retroflexed uterus, multiple tears to cervix

    I haven't had any dreams like that. I've actually had a few of dh wanting to leave me, so that might be related. Ugh, sorry to everyone having to go through this.

    BFP #1: 05/2012 DS born 12/30/12

    BFP #2: 02/2014 Natural M/C 03/2014 @ 7 weeks

    BFP #3: 06/2014 EDD: 02/17/2015 M/C @ 7w2d, D&E 7/15/14

    I keep having dreams like this too. In one I'm back in my room at the hospital, and they find out there was a second baby after my son is born, and that both of their hearts have stopped beating. In another I'm at home in the shower and black milk starts pouring from my breasts. These dreams are normal, and it's hard to deal with (I know it is for me, anyway). My son was born 3 weeks ago and the dreams are still a nightly occurrence.

    I have had several baby related dreams since my D&C. They are actually giving me a bit of insomnia as I am kind of afraid to face them. I suppose it is just my subconscious trying to make sense of it all, as if there was any sense to be made. Sweet dreams everyone.

    I've had and been having serval nightmares. I completely understand what you are going through. Hopefully soon we'll all have better night rests.
