Huggies vs. Pampers with Boys vs. Girls

Now that you guys are settled with your LO's and probably have a diaper preference what have you gone with? With my daughter I preferred Pampers. Huggies were stiff and leaked and had blowouts. Pampers were soft and did not. Now I have a boy on the way and I've heard that boys do better with Huggies rather than Pampers. Luvs aren't out bc I've heard good things, I'm just curious if the boys really do better as far as leaks with Huggies.

I tried them...I really wanted to like them because of the price. They leaked SO much for us, so I switched back to Pampers.

Sorry you didn't like them @TaviaBrad‌. I guess it's true that they fit different babies differently. We've had so few leaks and much fewer blowouts. I guess it's trial and error, just like everything else when it comes to this whole parenting gig.

It was weird, his diaper would leak so easily I don't know why. His pampers never did that. Funny how some work for babies and some don't.

I have a DS and a DD and we have used Huggies with both, they work great for us.

In my case it isn't a boy vs. girl issue. Its a "my daughter is narrow and skinny so pampers worked better while with a chunkier and wider baby huggies worked better."

SS: I have boy girl twins. We've tried pampers, huggies, and luvs. I don't like luvs, can tolerate huggies, and love pampers for both.

I have a boy and I love pampers the most. Huggies were okay but they are much smaller than pampers and seemed to fit more like low riders. HATED Luvs. They smelled like pee all the time to me. I was changing him 3 times more often than I was with pampers! Yuck!

I have had two boys and prefer Pampers to Huggies and Luvs. For DS1 I had to use Pampers. Huggies leaked and any other brand would give him a rash. This time around I will buy Pampers if I can get a good deal on them but am mainly using Target Up&Up brand.

Girl, we use Pampers and target up&up. Huggies seemed smaller and we had more frequent blowouts.

I had a boy then girl and now a another boy. I have always started with whatever is on sale but always end up back with huggies.

I have four boys... One used Luvs because Huggies leaked and pampers broke him out. The second used Huggies because pampers leaked. The last two are using pampers with no problems.

SS - for the month we used disposables (we now CD) we found we liked the Costco Kirkland brand best. Pampers were my second favorite. Not a fan of Huggies. We have a girl.
