Trying to find where I fit in

Hello ladies! After a long bump break I am trying to find which board/s is/are the best fit for me. I was active on TTC, TTTC, and PAIF before my baby girls were born on 11/12/2013. We tried for 2 years which included medicated cycles, IUI's, and finally IVF. Lucky for us the first IVF attempt was successful! I had a complicated pregnancy and ended up on hospital bed rest for a month before going into preterm labor. My girls were micro preemies born at 27 weeks 6 days. Lorelei was 1 pound 8 ounces, 11.75 inches and stayed in the NICU for 62 days. Amelia was 1 pound 12 ounces, 13.25 inches and stayed in the NICU for 67 days. They are both doing amazing! Currently the only medical issues we are facing are inguinal hernias (both girls), crazy reflux (both girls) and poor weight gain (Amelia). I am adjusting to being a SAHM (was a teacher before the babies). Currently we are living at Fort Benning in Georgia, but we will be moving to Fort Lewis in Washington very soon. Besides trying to be the best mom I can be my interests include: music (I am a professional musician), sewing, knitting, cooking, fantasy gaming, and science fiction. In addition to my human babies I have two fur babies, Luke (a stripy orange cat and leader of the Rebellion), and Vader (a fluffy black cat and Lord of the Sith). So ladies, what do you think...will you have me?
TTC since June, 2011 with anovulatory PCOS, 1 blocked tube, and mild MFI
3rd cycles clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
4th cycles letrozole/Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
IVF #1 = BFP! Twins due 2/5/2014

    Definitely join in when ever!  As someone who is still "baking" twins, having Moms who have experienced all kinds of different things helps!

    Congrats and your babies and we would be more than happy to have you! GL with your move and I hope your and your girls' woes ease up soon and Amelia gains more and more weight everyday! Reflux is the pits :(

    Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
    #1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
    IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
    M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    Wow what a story! As an expectant mom I would really value your advice and experience, especially if I end up on bed rest or with babes in the NICU. So happy your girls are doing so well!

    BFP#1: 11/20/11, EDD 7/25/12, Emily Iris arrived 7/29/12 at 7 lb., 3.5 oz.

    BFP#2: 8/25/13, EDD 5/4/14, MMC confirmed on 9/23/13, D&C on 9/26/13

    BFP#3: 2/3/14, EDD 10/15/14, fraternal TWINS confirmed 2/21/14, two BOYS confirmed on 4/15/14!

    Welcome!!! We have some in common.  We too tried for a while before having to resort to IVF, and had emergency c-section at 36w3d due to a rupture on one of the babies sacs.  I too am trying to adjust to being a SAHM, and honestly think this is the job I was always meant to have.  That doesn't mean it's easy, it just feels right.  My boys were in NICU for 16 days.  Elijah and Gabriel are 4 months old now and doing great.  In fact, today, March 24th is 1 year since they put the sperm and egg together!!!

    Welcome! I have found this board to be very welcoming. I'm a little disappointed you didn't say 'long walks on the beach' under interests, but I think you will still fit in here. I am 31 weeks with mo/di boys, and I have DD who is 21 months. I've been a SAHM since DD was born. It's great in many ways but can be isolating at times, IMO. I was hoping to go back to work in some capacity once we had baby #2 but surprise! It's actually babies 2 & 3... So, trying to figure out what that means for my future "career". Glad to have you. :)

    Welcome, this is 95% of the time a fabulous and non-judgmental board and people are helpful. You have a very touching story and thanks for sharing. I had 28 weekers - they had CRAZY reflux too. Good news is they outgrew between 10 months and 1 year. Whoop-whoop. Things get better.
