DHs aunt and uncle are coming over today and we're both dreading it. I don't know how to explain them shortly so I won't try!!! Here's to hoping it's a short visit!
Our hospital food wasn't very good either but I miss having food brought to me at a certain time every day. We've had a few days where it's been tough to get dinner made. Thank goodness I stocked up on freezer meals!
Our hospital food was really good with DS1. I went in 3 weeks ago for pre -e observation and found out the kitchen is being renovated... And the food was terrible. Major bummer!

*hugs* @TallAsh. It's hard being far from family. I can only imagine how much harder it is with kids. My H's parents are in another country and it stinks. We rarely get to see them and getting back is crazy expensive. Have you brought up moving again with your husband now that Bea is here? Maybe the new addition will be a little more motivation?

I wanted to post this yesterday, but I just didn't get the time. I was walking around Target with my mom, and out of nowhere this couple in another section of the store starts (very obviously) pointing and laughing at me! I didn't have anything in my teeth, my shoes were TP free, and I know I didn't sniss. WTF was their issue?!?! I know they were laughing at me, because the dude was in the middle of gesturing toward his own stomach and making a face that said I look like a whale, while his girlfriend just laughed her ass off. Both of them made eye contact, and neither seemed in the least apologetic. Fuck those guys.
My self-esteem and zen flew out the window. Who makes fun of a pregnant woman?
I posted some of this in roll call. I had LO sleep in his bassinet for about 2 1/2 hours (in between one set of feeds) last night because FIL is here so DH is sleeping in out bed and it's harder to bedshare when he's in bed too. Anyway when I got him out to eat he was freezing even in a long sleeve and a fleece sleep sack. I was too tired to check the thermostat so I just let him sleep on me the rest of the morning til we were getting up. When I finally checked it was almost 60 degrees. My DH had turned off the heat since it was warmish yesterday and kept getting too warm in the house. He was the last one to bed and never checked it/turned it on. I'm annoyed and might throat punch him if the baby gets sick because of it.
I hope I'm not going to start a new sleeping habit. My LO has been great about sleeping in her swing for a bit or the pnp. Today though she has been a little in the fussy side and not going back to sleep at all. I picked her up and put her on my chest, she is lights out now.
If this starts bad sleeping habits this early I'm doomed, and I think a lot of us are! I'm of the opinion that sometimes they just need snuggled. My LO hadn't slept in his pnp bassinet since maybe 3 days after coming home (7 weeks old now). He's slept in bed with or on me. The night before last he slept the whole night in it just fine (clarification: he didn't sttn, but he went back down just fine after eating). I think some nights (or daytime naps) they just need different things.
@Laura8388 E's legs were floating like that when she poo'd the tub. Must be super relaxing.
@AnonymousMotherOfOne People suck. I once squatted down behind DS's stroller, lost my balance, and fell onto my butt. The people behind me laughed at me, so I loudly told the checker how my center of gravity was off due to being pregnant and then shot a glare at those who had guffawed. Ugh.
I delivered in a different hospital this time than with my other two and I was super sad about how awful the food was. The "eggs" were clearly served with an ice cream scooper. Yuck!

@amdecker1016 My money is on drive by never even coming back to post. @DaisyCat11 had a good point .. Why are you continuing to labor at home and monitor contractions when your water broke?
Also I posted this in the zen thread, but I am jealous she's in labor!! Grrrr
March Siggy Challenge .. What I miss the most during pregnancy
@TallAsh I feel you with being homesick. My mom and best friend made it in time for the birth and I definitely ugly cried when they left. My mom was so sad the whole time saying she wouldn't see her granddaughter again until she was six months old. I can't wait to move closer to home again. FX your husband finds a job so you can be closer to your family soon!

People are still bringing us meals. Has your help left, even with twins?
Yeah, I'm on my own with the twins and a toddler for the first time this past week, though my mom or MIL would come if we asked. IL's are 4.5 hours away and my family is 10 hours away so it's a little tough. I will say it went a lot better than expected. It sucks not to have an extra pair of hands during the day but I think DS1 behaves better when it's just me here, so it's a trade-off.
@AMarinucci here is June playing with the owl you got her! She loves this thing and has gotten pretty good at smacking it to make it move. Thank you again!
I'm watching four Christmases And the scene where the baby pukes on Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn gags just happened I can't stop laughing.... And I totally used to be that way Now I'm just lucky if the puke hear wiped off of me in a timely fashion
You guys are so sweet. Thank you for the kind words.
That being said, I am going to go insane. Freaking teaser CX's that are going nowhere need to make up their mind. Intensify and speed up, or GTFO. Srsface. ):< ::noms more pineapple::
Hello from waffle country. My family just left and Noah is so congested he can not breathe unless he's upright...so here I am holding him while he sleeps. That's why I've been missing and will continue to be MIA until I get a hold on life.
Harper has been sleeping in her crib for 3+ hours and hasn't fussed once. I've done 3 loads of laundry, cleaned up her nursery and bathroom, picked up the master bedroom, washed dishes, loaded the dishwasher, and now I'm waiting for her to wake up so I can vacuum. Who am I and who is this child?
I want to make quilts for part of christmas presents this year, but i have no idea the cost it takes to make one. Do you happen to know about how much i may be looking at?
