  • 100% ready in practice, but emotionally I'll never be ready so might as well get it over with!

  • We are building a new house, and due to the crazy winter weather we've had this year there have been a lot of setbacks... We have all our baby stuff ready to go, but hope baby stays put until our due date of 4/27, because we will likely receive our occupancy permit on 4/15. I voted 25%!

  • Indeed to pack my bag and install the carseat, but I'm otherwise ready. :)

  • I have diapers and boobs so almost ready. Nursery is far from done but only need a bassinet and essentials to start so... I just need another couple more pjs really. My DH on the other hand would consider us not started but I don't feel we need most things for a while.
  • 100% ready. Can't wait to meet him.
  • I said 75. We're team green and have onesies and a few sleepers, but then mostly girl stuff from DD. We also won't buy diapers until LO arrives- no idea what size since DD started in 1-2s. Have the bouncer, cradle & car seat ready, but the swing & PNP need to be assembled. Also, the nursery walls are mid-patch/paint, but baby won't be in there for several months.

Ha! This is how I feel exactly. There isn't one single thing I can think of that still needs to be done to prepare and I'm pretty ready to be done with this HUGE belly but I don't think I'll ever feel 100% ready emotionally. I have 5 days left at the most so this is as good as it's gonna get.

  • If he showed up today we'd muddle through. But I hope he doesn't.

This is us too. We have just about everything, but most of it is still packed away.

Mentally, I'm not there yet...I still haven't wrapped my head around the fact that I'm about to have a newborn and a toddler.

  • I put 75% but it's more like 90% I have everything done that is essential but need to tie up a few loose ends. I have 5 weeks so I feel like I'm on track to get everything done.

  • 50%.... I still need to assemble PnP, get swing/ bouncer, and tidy up. I have 4 more weeks of work, so I'd like to get through that, too.
Mentally unsure of how I am feeling half of the time. My step DD told me that I was going to be someone's Mom soon....ahhhhh!! Holy shitballs! >-)
  • I feel between 75 and 100% ready.

About 50%...We are buying the crib mattress/pads, any swing/bouncer and car seat/stroller next weekend, so that will help a lot with items! I'm stressing about the nursery since we still have to decorate but have all the basics-changing pad (keekaroo), wingback chair, storage for toys and clothes, and crib. Once we do this, and then I finish packing the hospital bags, take our class, read some books and learn how to make a bottle and change a diaper, well be good. Thanks for letting me vent, lol.
  • I'm probably between 50% to 75% ready. Nursery only needs the artwork hung. The clothes and blankets are washed, bassinet almost together pack n play folded and against the wall where we are going to set up. Have to install the car seat bases. I've got a starter pack of diapers/wipes so I'm not completely unprepared. Mentally I'm about 25% ready. I can't believe I'll be someone's mom soon!
  • I'm hours away from full term, 39 weeks and I want her out NOW! I have all the essentials and what I feel I need so now I'm just waiting for her arrival..
  • I put 50%. I am totally ready for baby but the bathrooms we are remodeling are not :( the contractor fucked up royally so will be another week till they are done. If not for this I would have put 100%!

75% - I have all the basic necessities so stuff-wise I'd be ok if she came now. But being only 35wks (tomorrow), I'd really like her to keep cooking for at least a few more weeks!

  • Why was 0% not an option.....seriously we just painted the nursery today and I have less than three weeks left....wheeee!
  • Get these babies out of me!
  • I'm ready. Just need to pack our hospital bags and finish putting a few things in their places. And deep clean cabinets and such, but if that doesn't happen I won't be devistated.
  • I said 100% because he will be here the day after tomorrow and I am stuck in hospital (almost 2 weeks now)...so there is nothing else I can do.  I'm trusting DH that we are ready!

Also, as a STM I realized that you really don't NEED as much as you think, especially not right away.

  • Mentally and emotionally I am 100% ready but I've yet to organize and create a baby friendly home. Everything is still in packages and shoved in a closet.
  • With the exception of wanting time to earn 2-3 more pay cheques and spend a solid 3 days cleaning, I'm totally ready.
  • I chose 50%. My Dad, who was going to watch DS while I'm in labor, is sick. DH is sick and is going on about how stressed out he is with our business stuff and is stressing me out totally. DS was sick yesterday. The dude I was supposed to train at work has been MIA the last couple weeks so I haven't been able to train him. All the men in my life are stressing me out!!!
My Mom just got back in town and she's going to help me this week with projects around the house and I'm sooo looking forward to that.  I'm hoping I can train this work dude tomorrow and be done. My boss (a woman) has been so awesome that I don't want to leave her until everything's in order with our lab!

  • I have no idea how to answer this. I feel like I could do about a thousand more things to be more ready, but at the same time I kind of feel like now would be as good a time as any to throw a baby into the mix and see what happens. I guess I'm kinda zen about it at this point. Let's do this.
  • Waiting on a few last min items to come via mail. Install car seat base, set up co-sleeper, and I think that's it!!! 75% sounds about right.

  • Physically 100% mentally I'm at 75%
  • I put 75%. I'm 5 weeks out from my due date.

Nursery is pretty much done. I have a few items to hang, and one quick DIY project left. The last few items (drawer organizers and the rest of my bedding) are arriving next week.  All clothes are washed, only have laundry for any new items arriving.

I've purchased most of the last items on our registry which are all coming next week as well.  DH has some stuff to open and put together/figure out, like our monitor, meanwhile the high chair can wait.

The travel system also arrives next week and next weekend we are having our cars detailed And the bases installed.  Also doula coming for one more labor class and a prenatal massage.

I'm already registered at Cedars but have yet to take the tour.  Weekly OB appointments start next Friday.

I've already made freezer meals, and have most of the things I need for the hospital and post labor.  I need to pack my bag.

It sounds like a lot as I type this out, but I am way ahead from where things stood last week.  I feel like I have all my ducks in a row.  I feel as ready as I can be to be a parent.  Having my parents stay with us for a few weeks after the labor makes me feel relaxed.  They are super cool houseguests, and we have the room for them.  A 24 hour nurse and pediatrician on duty is pretty ideal.
  • Physically, I'm 110% ready; mentally, I'm around 80%; and organizationally, we're at like 50%.

  • I just got put on bedrest at 36 weeks and they almost delivered me then... Luckily my labs came back decent and I was able to go home... at that point I was NOT ready...

Now, our bags are packed... and I feel more prepared (still NOT 100% mentally ready) but feeling better about everything..
