I'm sorry, I didn't want to give you anxiety about it being a metabolic disorder :-( I was just throwing it out there since it sounded similar to what happen to another mom. Her dd is a perfectly normal sized, on track happy little girl now. I am pretty sure they fortified her pumped bm and did a high calorie formula (she did both at the same time) to help her dd gain weight. Some things can seem so big and scary when they are happening to your child. I'm sorry you are going through this. If I was you I would probably wait for an appt with the Dr I trusted and knows what is going on with your child, but it is your call if you think he needs to be seen sooner. I'm so sorry you are going through this and I hope you are answers soon, the unknown is sometimes scary than the actual truth. You and your ds will be in my thoughts!

It was more my husband telling me to research metabic disorders because he didn't know what it was. Dr Google is scary and WebMD is even worse.
I've decided to wait until Tuesday to see the dr I trust and because I think DH can get off to come with and help with Mirabella.
For right now I'm documenting all his feedings and waking him if he goes longer than his average 3 hours.
So when I do the whole stand on the scale, weigh yourself, pick up baby, subtract the two numbers way of weighing him he's 13 pounds. Which makes a lot more sense than him losing weight.
I'm still keeping the appointment for Tuesday just to be safe. He drinks 6-8 6 oz bottles a day which is where he should be.
