When did you tell family...

Hi ladies... So I just got a BFP a few hours ago and not calling my mom right away was just NOT an option. So I did! we told DH's parents tonight too. We plan to tell everyone else around 12 weeks and maybe we should have waited with everyone but I just couldn't! What did you do/are you planning to do?

Told family, close friends right away. The world at 10 weeks, after our first appointment.

We told our parents right away, friends at 6 weeks, FB at 13 weeks.

With DS we waited until 13 weeks to tell anyone. This time around I'm still debating. Maybe after my 1st u/s if all is well.

I'm a little over 5 weeks along, and we still haven't told family. I'd like to wait until after our confirmation u/s (scheduled for 7w3d), but it's getting harder and harder to keep my mouth shut.

Three of my coworkers know because they're going to have to start covering for me soon when I need to leave my classroom suddenly if I have m/s.

Family at 10 weeks. Good friends at 11 weeks. Extended family and coworkers at 12 weeks.

At this point it's open season, but we don't plan to announce on facebook until later (if at all, to be honest).

My parents found out when I got the positive so 4 or 5 weeks? We waited to tell the ILs until after the blood test at the doc confirmed (they make you do a blood test at our doctor's), soo they found out at 7 weeks? Then the rest of the world found out when I was 12 or 13 weeks

I wanted to wait until 12 weeks to tell people. However, MIL decided she was going to visit us on the day of my first pre-natal appointment. I was dealing with nausea and dizzy spells so there was no way she wouldn't notice something was going on. So I called my mom because I wanted her to know first and then DH called his mom. Then he went and told the rest of his family.
