NBR: PODS

Does anyone have any experience with using PODS to move? DH and I are looking to move from FL back to TN in a couple months. Just looking to see if anyone has used them and what you thought of them?

I used PODS to move from Ohio to Colorado then back. They were so nice. Granted I was a college student back then, but they were super convenient. I could load things at my own pace and when I felt like it. I imagine having a LO it would be convenient for that reason as well! I only had one lamp break...which was my fault because I should have unassembled it to ship anyways.

  • We always just rent a uhaul and go. It's worked for five moves in the last four years.

Granted I never want to move again, but it works.

We've moved seven times in five and a half years of marriage.

That was the major reason I cried when dh matched for residency. Three years in one spot.

  • @DreamingBabies ...yeah looking at trucks its already gonna be at least 3000 cheaper than PODS....but paying to load and unload....never thought of that.

  • I have used ABF which is similar to PoDS but was way less expensive to get to GA from TX. They drop off containers or a truck that you load then ship it for you. We plan in using them again when we move back to TX this summer.
