Low HCG levels at 5 wk 2 days! Help!

I just got the call from my doc on blood draw from Wednesday at which I would have been 5 weeks, 2 days. My HCG levels were at 216 and progesterone at 14.2. I am getting blood drawn again tomorrow and have to wait until Monday for the results in which hopefully the HCG levels would have at least doubled. Anyone else have really low HCG at this point in pregnancy? I am freaking out even though the nurse told me many pregnancies have low HCG levels that result in normal pregnancies. But I also know the numbers not doubling would most likely mean m/c. Help!

    A single number doesn't mean much, they're really looking at whether they're rising. I know there's a chart that shows the range of beta levels but I'm mobile & I have it saved on my laptop. One of the ladies here can probably link it for you or you can Google it. Also, you may not be as far along as you thought which could account for a lower number. If you're basing off your LMP but you O'd later in your cycle you'd be less than 5 weeks. Either way, good luck to you!

    There is a huge range of normal (for reference: https://www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Single), and your number is within range for where you are in your pregnancy. The doubling is really the only thing that matters at this point. Also, do you know exactly when you ovulated? Because if you're off by even a few days, that makes a huge difference at this point; even if you know when you ovulated, if you implanted late, that would affect your hcg level as well. Just try to relax because right now, everything appears to be fine (and I hope you get great news on Monday!).

    Honestly a number doesn't mean much this early, it's more about doubling times. Is there any chance you could have ovulated later? Baby could have implanted later too.

    Good luck though, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your results on Monday!

    yeah, that isn't a low number. not even close.

    At like 4 weeks i was at 45 about 5 weeks my beta was at 322 and a week later over 2600.

    Dont freak its actuallt not that low. The doubling time is what actually matters
