No confession today as of now but I need to add: @Kate_C‌, a wax and a bedroom toy? The bump is making you into a new woman! @lilbit0910‌, I spit my Fresca out when I read your confession. Soooo funny! @ceamac0127‌, I agree with you 100%. I really am a nice person but holy do I constantly judge people in my head. Maybe I'm not so nice after all....
Seriously. I don't even know myself anymore. You all have transformed me into a well groomed hussy.
Oooooh, how'd it go at Euro Wax???

I finally am taking the plunge and trying waxing today. Wish me luck.

Confession part: rather than schedule it at the place closest to my house (which is near a university) or the next closest place (in a young hipster neighborhood), I scheduled it for a suburban location where hopefully I won't be the only fat, hairy old lady with floppy birthing lips. I know I'm ridiculous but whatever. The extra 10 minutes driving time won't kill me.

I fly to Chicago to get waxed. FLY... half-way across the country. Don't sweat the extra 10 minutes

  • One more (look at me! 3 confessions today!). I am kind of being "that mom" and requesting a particular preschool teacher for James for next year. I feel so guilty and I know it's just preschool, but it was eating away at me last night that I feel like he will be significantly better off in one class vs the other so I contacted the director and now I'm hoping she doesn't get annoyed at me for asking.

I am willing to pay an absurd amount of money for preschool. It's basically all I Google nowadays

I judge everyone constantly; From their clothes/hair to the way they talk to the way they live their life.

    It's terrible. I need to stop...but I just can't.

ETA: I very rarely ever say it outloud, even to my friends. so at least I am a closet mean girl?
Just throwing it out there not saying it out loud doesn't make it any nicer... In fact if someone is going to judge me I would rather them just say it to me!
Nooo! My favorite thing about being a human is that no one knows what I am thinking and I don't have to know what they are thinking.
Well I don't need to know everything someone is thinking but if you are judging me for everything I wear and do and say then I would like to know so I can go find a real friend!! And if you are constantly thinking judgmental mean things about people then perhaps you aren't very nice... That's all I'm saying!

Actions speak louder than (mental) words. You can't help the thoughts in your head, but I think making conscious daily decisions to be kind makes you a good person.

I knew you'd have my back guuuurl ;)

  • Another confession is I cannot wait to get the homeschooling ball rolling. I have been googling  different curriculum for a while now, I still can't make up my mind.

  • @meggs2559 Only if they're orange! @msameera25 I know you're talking about me biatch! I'll never live that one down! We have a lot of Burt's Bees baby shampoo that gave Rhys a rash. I use it as face wash. I figure if it's gentle enough for a baby...
Ha ha no I wasn't talking about you  X_X

@ClandestineX If Conner ends up being a driven, get everything right, perfectionist-y sort, I suggest looking at A Beka Books. My parents used that curriculum for me when we were home-schooling, and I personally loved it. I was able to practically teach myself most of my lessons (especially math and English) once I got to the higher levels. They are big on dotting every "i" and crossing every "t" though, so if it doesn't suit his personality, I wouldn't recommend it. (Both my younger brothers hated it.) Worth a look though. :)

Thanks for the recommendation! I understand that each kid is different in terms of learning. Although he might change in the future, right now he is like me in a way and shows somewhat of a perfectionist attitude towards some things.

  • I have another one. One of my female students drew a picture of a penis (she has several brothers) and when my co-teachers showed me the picture, I laughed...out loud. She did it on purpose because she asked if she was going to get in trouble and then had a tantrum when she realized she was in trouble. I still laughed. I teach 3rd grade. I'm childish...

And a Saturday confession: my H is seriously hung over and passed out on the couch. The kids are playing with their xylophone right next to him, along with every other noisy toy. Good morning!

I feel exactly zero remorse since he puked on the sofa multiple times last night despite me putting a bucket next to him. (Seriously, at least when I've been sick, I've had the courtesy to be neat about it and keep it contained.). You're too old for this nonsense man.

Yuck! What a shitty way for you to have to start your weekend. The noisy toys were definitely in order!
Much worse for him than me! I expected this would happen. Last happy hour with his old coworkers before he starts a new job. At least he took a cab home. I just shake my head...

Oohhhh he's getting off easy with noisey toys! My husband would face a lot worse ;)
