I didn't see it myself but I once heard mention of a woman who asked how much cows milk she had to drink per day to sufficiently breast feed her baby. Because that's how moms make milk.
Pretty sure it was on one of the tri boards, maybe when I was pregnant with DS? There was a lady who ate some feta, about a "fingernail of feta" and was panicking worrying that she had hurt her baby.
Just thought of another one. There was a lady who was pregnant and wanted to know if the hospital would let her husband deliver the baby instead of the doctor. When everyone told her that no, the hospital would require the doctor to be in charge and deliver the baby, she said that they should let her husband do it because he grew up on a farm or something like that and had helped deliver lots of baby animals, so he should be able to deliver their baby, too.
Bonus points to @broccoli's_girl for the link, because while the question made me giggle, just the first page of responses has me crying. This poor kid is never getting his meal.
Before I discovered TB I hit some other random communities. The stupidity was so profound that I couldn't handle it any longer (thank you TB ladies for renewing faith in humanity). The thread that made me leave for good was when several women were absolutely certain they felt their babies move at 9-10 weeks. Good God.
Oh shoot what board was it that had a thread where the op was asking for help picking her own last name? She liked "Heart" as an option, because hearts?
I think I remember that...it was fairly recent, yeah? It was on the baby name board. She was getting married and didn't like her H's last name either.
One of my favorite name-related threads was on Jan-14, I think. "Can I use the same name for our child if we're already using it for our cat?" Or some such.
Somewhere out there, little baby Mittens is very bitter.
I think I was pregnant with DS1 when the infamous Irish Twin Day post occurred. I don't remember the exact question, but it was basically, I'm pregnant and had unprotected sex, I'm afraid I got pregnant again.
And when someone said, no, that can't happen, the OP responded that that's how Irish twins are made and hadn't we ever heard of Irish Twins?
That was a good one. I had a badge for it and everything. "I survived Irish Twin Day"
I was using dr google once trying to figure out why LO kept pulling on my nipple and screaming...usually I'm smart and include kellymom as part of the search criteria. Well, this time I forgot and ended up with this answer and then smacked my head for even clicking on a babycenter link. (I really hope that person is not an actual nurse).
When I was on TTGP before getting pregnant this time, there was a lady who asked about sticking mango up her vag to help her get pregnant.
I...just...wow. What was the logic there?
I wish I could remember the details! And unfortunately, this was in the days when you could still DD, which she did, of course. It had something to do with her mom or a friend or someone telling her that it would help her get pregnant, so it must be true, right?!?!?!!11?!

I remember this. It was classic. I wonder if TB gods have a big book of explosive threads. This one has to be in the top 10.
The one here that asked what to do w her 6th complicated pregnancy was on baby bump and was really concerned her baby was going to choke on the ball of her tongue ring she swallowed!!!! I deleted that app but a week after she was on here asking about should she call her doc or not she was asking about some coffee trick or whatnot to induce her labor.... Wack job!
Re: What's the dumbest question you've ever seen on TB?
zomg
