9 weeks feels like forever

I thought when I got to single digit weeks it would feel like the baby would be here soon... But I was wrong. 9 more weeks feels like 9 more years.

  • It's really dragging for me too (6 weeks left).

  • I'm hoping that each minute of each day won't seem so torturous once I stop working. Working full time with two kids and everything that goes along with that is wiping me out badly. I'd really like to enjoy my last few weeks the best I can.

  • I got six weeks and three days, of which 4 weeks I am working still.  As I sat on the toilet this morning blissfully pooping I was running through what I needed to do in the next few days and how in about two weeks is my next appt with the MW in which I'll be 35 weeks and 3  days along.  Then I kind of freaked out that time was going by quickly, but as I sit here at work, I realize its going to be a looooooong four weeks till I go on leave.
  • I will be down to 7 weeks on Saturday. I have so much still to do! I wish it would slow down. But on the other hand, I want to rush the last few weeks of work.

  • I feel like time started crawling in the last week. Everything before that went fast. But that's probably because we had the baby shower last week and everything is ready to go for the baby! So with all the things in place, I feel like... Now I have to wait? Eeeeeeeeeee

  • I felt like weeks 13-9 dragged.  Now I feel like I am running out of time to get everything done!
  • My csection is 4 weeks from Monday and I'm torn. I'm ready to be done and totally unprepared at the same time. And I want a friggen house so I can stop feeling like we are in limbo.

  • Sometimes I feel like its going by slow but other times it seems quick. I'm looking forward to April for my showers and so I can say that its next month! I have 8 weeks and 3 days left.

We need all the time we can get! Just under 10 weeks here. Baby shower is this Saturday, and then I'm making DH buckle down and start getting REALLy ready- go through our must haves, start thinking about hospital bags, car seats, etc...

...Of course, when I say I'm going to make him buckle down and do this stuff with me, it means that we'll both need a minimum of 3 weeks to recover from the shower, then 2 weeks to talk about everything that needs to be done, then 4 weeks to make lists of what needs to be done, and we'll end up doing most of it the week before. Cool.

Edited because my first sentence got deleted from my fat fingers.
  • Second Tri went waaaaay faster for me than first - that's for sure. And I was feeling right on track but I agree in the last week or so it seems time slowed down again. Although like most of you I have a lot left to do so I guess it's good I have the time. I'm also torn because I know once the baby is out I will miss being prego... But that knowledge doesn't change how I feel at the moment.

Yes it seems like forever now and I only have 7.5 weeks until they talk induction. At the same time she is still breech so I am hoping it's enough time for her to flip! I want her here NOW to snuggle but I also want her to get maximum cooking time. Basically my head is a tennis match.

  • I feel like it is going so slow too. And it's even more annoying that statistically FTM are late. So even though I have 9 weeks till my EDD I feel like it really is more like 10-11 weeks left.

  • I have 9 weeks until my induction and it feels so far away!
Hopeful time will fly by as I get busier. I have 5 weeks left of school. My BF class is next week, April 2nd starts the first of my 4 week birthing classes, April 12th is a baby expo at my hospital, April 19th is my shower and then mid May is my graduation ceremony for my Associate's degree.

Fingers crossed that staying busy will make the time fly!

  • I have 7 weeks left and it is definitely dragging! My tummy keeps getting bigger and I'm running out of clothes. Every day lasts forever but i don't feel mentally prepared for the baby yet! Gah,,

I'll be right there with you waddling around miserable at 41 weeks, because my body hates me and won't go into labor in it's own.

  • Last time, I remember feeling so miserable the last few weeks and looking over at the swing in the corner of the room and thinking that it felt like we were never going to have the baby.. This time, the individual days are long and I am so exhausted, but sometimes I can hardly believe I only have 6-7 weeks left (they might induce at 39 weeks).

I think it helps that I am such a slacker this time, because I have SO much left to do that it makes the time seem to go a little faster.

  • I have a little over 5 weeks left, I am ready, I can no longer eat or poop properly so I am really looking forward to having the baby in my arms not belly. Whoever last ultrasound she was breech so here is hoping at my 36 week scan a she has flipped.
  • Just under 8 weeks here...and it feels like a ways away but then I think about all that we have to do still and it seems like barely enough time!!

  • I'm a little over nine weeks. I think my only complaint is working even tho I only work 3 days out of the week lol. But I haven't had my shower yet (April 12th) so I'm not really baby ready. I think after my shower is done and I'm able to finish up being prepared for her ill start to feel like this but right now I feel like I don't have enough. I'm glad I waited to have my shower in April and not March.
  • Glad several of you are having April showers (pun intended). I was nervous that I waited way too long (ftm)
  • 48 days until my due date. Still need to: find a place to live, move, buy some baby stuff, wash baby stuff, put baby stuff away in furniture that is TBD. Time can slow down.

This for me too, plus a husband who works nights, so I'm on my own with the kids after working all day.

  • 9 weeks to go and had a dream baby was born april 28 ( 4 wks early) I'm praying it comes true cuz the pressures killing me. so is my body...
  • I can't say anything different than what's already been said. It's dragging for me too and I am a very impatient person. At least we aren't totally ready at home yet (still two showers to go this month) so I have that to keep me occupied.

I have about 8 weeks left....

    Isabella & Julian & and now #3!
  • My baby's room does not have a floor... So... I guess I should be glad there's time
  • 10 weeks left tomorrow (yep I'm due on the LAST day of May)...between yesterday and today? I actually felt jealous watching tv where a girl was comfortably lounging around. I love feeling baby rolls and kicks, but I also want my body back to myself. I'll be pregnant forever!!
  • I have 9 weeks left also. It feels like forever and I've slowed down so much that I won't be moving in 9 weeks.
  • Funny, I had thought everything was going SO SLOW, and then my doc scheduled my csection for 37 weeks and I suddenly jumped into the single digits.  So much to do!  Good luck and hang in there!

  • I really does. So close yet so far away ...

    It's a BOY

  • Now it's 8 for me but that last week was a long one. If the rest are this long... Lord help me
  • gees I was told 37 to 40weeks is full term so obviously I wouldn't imagine 3 weeks early would be a problem
