Remember that creepy Bumpie crush confession from me awhile back..? It just got worse. I missed the "pack of 24" at first and was awe struck over the $12 Crunchie, though.
I dated a guy right after high school who's dad was British. He used to go visit family twice a year or so and came home with the heavenly goodness that is Crunchies. I don't even like chocolate, but these are just pure perfection.

Jealous! I may have ordered one of the boxes off Amazon during first tri. $.50 per bar! Bargain!

Yeah, I'm pretty positive this order will be taking place today. The only thing I've ever bought through Amazon has been countless books through Kindle and a maternity belt. I pretty much buy a book a week, so DH will just assume that's what the Amazon purchase is. I'm not ashamed of buying 24 candy bars or anything. I just REALLY do not want to share once they arrive...

One of the suggested items on that link is Cadbury "Flake" bars ... I haven't had one of those in years! My mom used to buy those as a treat and split it 3 ways with my and my younger sister. Memories ...
So in lieu of a board-wide onesie exchange, I propose we have an awc1986-ships-us-all-British-candybars-and-we-give-her-thanks-in-return exchange. Anyone?

If i ship you Cadburys, then I want pretzel flipz, charleston chews and tootsie rolls in return.

You have Cadbury and you want tootsie rolls? Why? To distribute to your enemies? (also, I'm all over that trade.)

It's all about wanting what you can't have. I'll also take a few boxes of lucky charms. They banned them over here in the 90s because apparently they made kids go crazy.

@awc1986 Yeah, but Lucky Charms are good. I feel like tootsie rolls are a holdover from the War, as in the WWII kind of war, where people didn't have all kinds of random stuff and did their best with what the military wasn't using.
What do you have that makes you pity the peanut butter? Australians are crazy, so of course they think Vegemite is better, but I don't know what Brits/Europeans have instead.

WHAT?!!!
...I clearly need to stock up on costco-sized Lucky Charms before we move...

I had marmite on toast for breakfast today. Marmite is far superior to vegemite.
"The British version of the product [Marmite] is a sticky, dark brown food paste with a distinctive, powerful flavour, which is extremely salty." Whereas peanut butter is versatile peanut-y heaven.

YES.
It's also full of B vits, which is great for me as i'm a veggie. I always have a jar in the cupboard.
Oh and re: peanut butter. I personally can't abide nuts and chocolate, so I find it really offensive that so many American chocolate bars insist on using peanut butter or peanuts in general. Don't get me wrong, i like peanuts. Just don't put them in my chocolate. Saying that, DH really likes Butterfingers.

While it is acceptable to brag about your (potty training stage) children doing their business on the potty, it is not necessary to post pictures of their business on Facebook. I get it, parents are proud, I was, too. But... Please tell me I'm not the only one who does not want to see that?
This should also apply to details of your child's stomach bug. Noone has gone as far as pics yet but with the details I've read, I can paint my own. And no one wants that visual.

Oh i've been on the receiving end of those pics. I had a Facebook friend who's child threw up on her. She took a pic of herself covered in puke and posted it on FB. Some people ain't right.

I've been to Europe about 10 times, three of those times to London. I've never had this Cadbury crunchie of which you speak and it was given me le sads.

I never actually had them in London, either. My parents used to live close to a British imports store and I would raid their candy section when in town.

They are available in Canada too. Much closer! Maybe we need to set up a food-exchange

I'm sold. Send me some. What do you want from the US?

So many choices! At the moment, more raspberry fudge oreos are at the top of the list.

most favorite chocolate bar ever!! I had no idea you guys didn't have them in the states until I read this thread.
Is it bitchy of me that now whenever I buy a Crunchie bar I will feel smug and superior to our Southern neighbours?
