I have found the diaper bin in the laundry room to be smelly. I do the wash every other day, could I put an air freshener in the bottom to help with the smell? I know it's a dumb question but I'm new at CD.
Along this note, the plastic bin insert that goes in my can seems to have absorbed the smell. Even though I leave the lid off and rinse the insert every time I wash diapers it still smells even when empty. Is there anything I can do about this or should I just start over with hanging wet bags? Would sunning it help?
Re: Air freshener
If you still want an air freshener, try a drop of your fav essential oil on scrap piece of material placed in the bottom of the pail.
