My baby is one month and two days old and has yet to meet her asshole grandparents who only live 30 minutes from us. Said grandparents were blocked from my FB after our showdown two weeks ago and we found out today that MIL has seen the pics I put up this week, which means one of DH's siblings showed them to her. I'm not happy and will be deleting the offender when I figure out who it is. Grrrrrrr

@LW78, it's not your fault and no one could have foreseen this. I'm super side-eyeing that doc for continuing the procedure after the first seizure, though he gets points for making sure YH got home safely.
Men do have some crazy reactions to the vas (I have seen all sorts of dramatic fainting spells), but that is above and beyond! He needs to check in with a local neurologist IMO.
For sure ice packs and resting on the couch for a few days are what he needs, too. Even though they didn't get to the snipping, that's honestly the least of the procedure. The part that causes the most pain is probably all the digging around to get to the vas deferens in the first place.
@lw78 that's awful hope your DH gets to feeling better! And don't beat yourself up about it! You couldn't have known that he would have that kind of reaction
Confession I just fell asleep sittin straight up trying to burp the baby and only woke up because older DS was trying to cook himself something for dinner.. bad mommy moment. At least dd is safely napping.
How awful! @LW78 I'm surprised they let him drive home. Hope the pain goes away soon! I had my tubes tied before IVF and the recovery wasn't terrible. I had the procedure done on a Friday and I was back at work the following Monday.
This! Is that normal for the doc to let him drive home? I hope he has a quick recovery! Definitly not your fault! There is no way you could have ever predicted that.
I was shocked by this too and that they proceeded after the first seizure. Happy thoughts he recovers quickly!
@lw78 that sounds serious. Sending good vibes your way.
Does anyone else think this iPhone mobile app sucks? I've been bumping for many months just like a lot of you, and hate that there's no refresh function on a thread. Unless I have been missing it all along..
March Siggy Challenge .. What I miss the most during pregnancy
On another note... I've been awake since 4 am. Why you ask? Because I had the most insane dream where I gave birth to a 9lb baby despite being the size of my cell phone... With a full set of teeth... Delivered myself.. Forgot to tell the family... And I kept dropping him and/or forgetting to support his neck. BUT he had a great latch! OMG... lol
@SomersIsles That made me lol! I keep having dreams the baby is shrinking until finally they're so small I misplace them, and (of course) try to cover this fact up when dream people ask me where the baby went.
'Er... um... the baby is... um... right around here somewhere!'
That is so scary! It is good to hear that he wasn't driving after all. But omg what a scary situation and he is a crazy man for wanting to try again. I hope it was an isolated incident as far as the returning seizures go. Happy to hear he is starting to come around more though.
^^This^^
Happy to hear he didn't drive.
I would be cautious of this doctor, and if there are any issue with his man parts I would be contacting legal assistance. I am not a suit-happy girl, but that just sounds like negligence to me.
@LW78 ::hugs:: I congratulate you for sounding so calm and collected about the whole thing. I'd probably still be losing my shit if that had been MH. I freak out when he tries to lift something super heavy by himself, even though I know he's more than capable of handling himself. .____. T&P he recovers quickly, with no more complications. Poor guy.
I'm 10.6 pounds below my pre pregnancy weight (gained 7 during the pregnancy). I hope it keeps coming off. I had lost a bunch of weight, put it back on, and THEN got pregnant. Oops. I really want to be fit and healthy again. I feel so much better when I am!

My brother called me yesterday to tell me that my dad is seriously considering taking a short vacation in Memphis and not telling me. Why you ask? Because they live 12 hours away and Memphis is only 2 hours from us, so when I call he can be here ASAP.
I get that he's excited, but it's not like he's going to be allowed in the delivery room anyway. I'd rather he just be up front about it and say that he wants to come down early.
DS1 saw me getting out of the shower and asked me why my tummy was on fire! Took me a second, but yep, it was my lovely stretch marks he noticed. Awesome. Now he's scared of my belly because fire freaks him out.

I got 3.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Who is this child?
@legallyginger You made the right choice! So glad you're taking care of yourself.

It's not much, but I laughed enough I think I almost woke up my roommate. ;D
DH was going to give Owen a bottle last night and DS1 came running over crying "No! I want to milk the baby!".
