  RE the lactation cookies-- you can always make them with oat flour instead of whole wheat to get even more oats into them. oat flour is really tasty and great for making pancakes as well. i use bob's red mill, which you can get at amazon.

  I get the steel cut oats and I add flaxseed. I also add brown sugar, walnuts and dried cranberries for flavoring. Or sometimes cinnamon and apples.
  
  You could add flaxseed and brewers yeast to help with milk production.
  
  I really like the Dr mommas lactation cookie recipe as well. I've only made them once but I think next time I will make them with out chocolate chips so that they feel more like a snack bar and not a dessert.

  Muesli is another great option as they already have seeds, nuts, and dried berries mixed into the oats. I often do this version of the overnight oats. You can mix with yogurt like previously mentioned, or cottage cheese, or any type of milk or milk substitute. Muesli is also traditionally mixed with juice.
