Prayers please?! Jeter is losing weight. He's been on 4 different formulas, he's had pyloric stenosis surgery, and he's lost almost a pound in like a month. He's only 11 oz above birth weight and will be 4 months old on the 3rd.
I feel like an asshole because I had no idea he was losing weight. He's hit his milestones, he follows the wonder weeks app down to the day, he eats every 3 hours like clockwork, his diapers are normal, and he's growing length wise (3 1/2 inches since birth).
The only thing that's been different is he wakes up at night now where he was sleeping 8-9 hours.
Could it be some type of metabolic disorder? Your mom is wrong, baby food is not the answer. I hope the Dr can give you some answers or point you in the direction of specialist that can help your little guy. On my old bmb one of the mom's dd has a metabolic disorder and was FTT, but her dd is doing great now after working with a specialist.
Thank you all and no, I will not be giving him baby food... My mom has 5 kids (as do I) and she is raising my 2 year old nephew but I still give her major side eye when she gives me "advice".
So sorry LB! Who knew the baby who won biggest D13 baby would have weight gain issues!! Poor guy and poor mama!!! T&Ps for you, @Yankees0623 and baby Jeter!
He will see the dr on Tuesday. We had a nurses visit today for a Rx refill.
I feel like A week is a long time to wait. Can the appt be moved up?
His doctor won't be in until Tuesday. I could probably see the other one on staff, but she's the one that told me to feed my deathly allergic daughter peanut butter when she was being a picky eater.
Ugh, idk... I'm torn between getting him in sooner to see the other doctor or waiting to see his doctor.

I know right?! It's crazy to me. I mean Patrick (my 6 year old) is super skinny and Mason (4, born at 37 weeks) was really small at 2, but I've never had any of them lose weight.
He eats 6 oz, but if I try to give him 7 he vomits. He's on Enfamil AR which I (and his dr at his 2 month appt) thought the added starch would've helped him gain weight (and keep him from projectile vomiting).
I am hoping and praying it's something that can be fixed with the high calorie formula and not some type of metabolic issue. I am almost positive his doctor is going to want to do blood work and that really gives me anxiety.
His hands are so tiny I wonder if I could get it done at the hospital and have a NICU nurse do it like they did for his surgery.
Sorry, I'm totally rambling, I'm having an anxiety attack at the moment and think I should've gone with an earlier appt with the other doctor.
Sending you lots of T&Ps! I hope everything goes well at his appointment. The last time DS needed blood drawn they took it from his heel.... It didn't really seem to bother him. Hopefully that's the case with you LO.

You're right! I totally forgot they tried to get blood from his heel first before his surgery. They couldn't at the time, but maybe now they'll be able to.
