Formula question

My son has been on similac alimentum for 4 months after trying several different formulas. He has severe acid reflux. He was also having trouble using the bathroom on other formulas. This has helped his bathroom problems. He still spits up and it's worse than ever. He is on Prevacid and we use Dr.browns bottles. The dr told us at his 5 month check up he does not need to be on alimentum any more and I can give him any other formula I wanted. He currently put rice in his bottle and that still does not help. Any suggestions on another formula? I was looking at Similac Spit up?

    My daughter has reflux as well and we use ready to feed similac spit up mixed with reg advance (so she does not get constipated).  She still spits up (she even did on all spit up bottles as well).  I think she is just going to spit up no matter what.  Some days are better than others and she is a happy spitter, so I stopped worrying about it.  We have also started oatmeal cereal at night (on a spoon) and I thought that would help, but she still spits up.  She is also on Zantac.

    OP, you keep asking the same type of questions to us re: formula. If memory serves this is the 2nd or 3rd post where you ask for formula recommendations. Refer to previous posts or bring these concerns to your doctor.

    DS had been on Neocate for reflux and allergies. We got the green light to switch at the 4 month appointment and our pedi wanted us to try Gerber Gentle.

    We had a couple days of fairly heavy spit up but after that he's been perfectly fine. He's not spitting up more than usual and isn't having any more issues with discomfort than when he was on Neocate.
