After my water broke on 3/13 the plan was a c section scheduled for 3/23/13. Baby boy had his own plan. I began to have back pain around 5pm on 3/16 but it didnt seem to come and go, then it began to get worse around 745pm. I was hooked up to a monitor and it was in fact contractions. The doctor came to check me but my cervix was still completely closed and the pain was also not too bad. Then around 1130pm they started getting worse and the pain quickly started to become more constant. I got hooked back up to the monitor but it wasn't getting a good reading, doctor came to check me again around 1230am or so. I don't remember what was said, but next thing i know they are wheeling me to the OR. Later i learned they saw the baby's butt when I was checked. So, Carter James entered the world via emergency c section on 3/17/14 at 156am. He weighed in at 4lbs 3oz and 17.5inches long. Breathing well on his own. In love with him soo much already.
