Potty Training Regression After Antibiotics

So at 22 months we did the three day potty training method with my daughter and by day three she only had one accident. After that point she went weeks with no accidents during the day or during nights and naps. A couple weeks ago she got a double ear infection and was put on antibiotics. Within the last week (about a week after ending the antibiotics) she has been having constant accidents. She will still go on the potty but will pee a little in her pants. After having such great success I'm wondering if she might have a UTI from the antibiotics? Anyone have thoughts or experience on this? Since I grew up without insurance I tend to be an over reactor and bring her in probably more than I need to.

    It could be an UTI, I would be safe an call your Pedi, maybe get a urine test to see whether or not it is. It's better to be safe than sorry. That said, it could be that she is forgetting to pee, and peeing a little in her pants before she realizes tha

    Did your DD quit having accidents after the antibiotics were gone? My DD, 2.5, has been on antibiotics for 4 days now and she just starts peeing and doesn't realize it til it's too late. If it's a UTI shouldn't the meds be helping her? That is what they prescribe for UTIs right? Frustrated I can't figure this out. ps, I have a high deductible plan so dr appointments gets paid out of pocket and are expensive.

    I realize antibiotics and oral steroids aren't the same, but my DD had potty training (night only) regression while she was on her oral steroids after croup and RAD. I had no idea there was a connection but when I brought it up to her pedi she told me that steroids could very well have been the cause of it. She did get better when the steroids stopped, although has since night time regressed again. I am a bit dumbfounded myself. Like OP, DD was trained at 23 months with the 3 day and went 2+ months accident free during days, naps, and night time before it occurred.

    Just went through something similar with DD. She has been PT for overnight & naps with hardly any accidents for nearly 2 years. She had a bad cough so we were giving her the overnight cough medicine and every time we did she wet the bed. We didn't really catch on with the connection between the bedwetting and the medicine until day 3. Once we stopped the medicine, she stopped wetting.
