I just found out I'm having a little girl and have had my heart set on Madeline since before my son was born. I have always preferred the pronunciation with line at the end rather then Lynn. I realize that there are a million made-something's out there and even more maddys but I'm not big on nicknames anyway so I'm hoping we don't run into too many more. Besides the obvious of problem of people saying the wrong pronunciation and being corrected what are people's thoughts?
I don't share names with family until the baby is born so just looking for some feedback!
Thinking full name Madeline Rose very common two syllable last name
Re: Madeline pronounced with line instead of Lynn at the end

Interestingly, I say Caroline with the -line ending.
I'd go with the name you love, and just gently correct people's pronunciation.
This was a one of my choices before we found out the trips were boys..madeleine..With line ending.
