Care.com

My husband and I are using care.com to look for a nanny or babysitter for our DS. Has anyone used it before? If so what did you think

Re: Care.com

  • I used both this and sittercity.com.  Not sure which one I actually found our nanny on (they are so similar).  My advice is to not post a job listing but instead to search for providers and contact directly.

All of this.  I got a ton of responses from people who clearly didn't read the job requirements, and it was a waste of time.  I did much better on both sites when I just weeded through the nannies in our area and contacted only the people I was most interested in meeting.

We've found 3 nannies using those sites, and they've all worked out reasonably well.

    Good luck!
  • Thanks, I think we might have found our girl! We wanted someone part-time on the days that i'm really busy with work since i work from home. We were lucky enough to find a young college girl who's studying to Early Childhood education! We're interviewing her tomorrow!!
