I used both this and sittercity.com. Not sure which one I actually found our nanny on (they are so similar). My advice is to not post a job listing but instead to search for providers and contact directly.

All of this. I got a ton of responses from people who clearly didn't read the job requirements, and it was a waste of time. I did much better on both sites when I just weeded through the nannies in our area and contacted only the people I was most interested in meeting.
We've found 3 nannies using those sites, and they've all worked out reasonably well.
Thanks, I think we might have found our girl! We wanted someone part-time on the days that i'm really busy with work since i work from home. We were lucky enough to find a young college girl who's studying to Early Childhood education! We're interviewing her tomorrow!!
