NBR my son's grandfather

I'm so worried. My son's grandfather (my 1st husband's dad) was working on his 2nd story balcony today and fell onto the concrete below. His neck is broken but he's not paralyzed.

My ex's wife told me the bad news in such a way that I didn't know if he was okay or not for a long time. I got SO upset and anxious that I thought I was going to come completely unglued so I gave my husband the phone. I don't know much else & my husband is shielding me so I don't stay so upset. He's seriously worried about me going into labor.

This man is one of the best men I know (his son left something to be desired)! He still treats me like I am his own daughter and loves my son more than life! I know you don't know me or him, but I'd appreciate any T&Ps for my son's grandfather.

We found out he broke C1 and will require a halo for at least three months. He also shattered his wrist and has a huge gash on his knee. He was repairing his balcony and fell head first onto the concrete patio below.

My son is 15 and seems to be holding himself together ok, which is better than I can say for myself. Please continue to pray for my son and his grandfather. They are extremely close. I hope my son is doing as good on the inside as he looks on the outside...
