Nipple Everter

I have never posted here and looked back a few pages for a similar question but did not see anything, hopefully I am not asking something that has been asked over and over again.  I have very flat nipples and because of that had to use a nipple shield with my DD.  Even after breastfeeding for a while and pumping a few times a day the issue never got better and I was never able to ditch the nipple shield.  I HATED the shield, it made breastfeeding a lot harder for me and I ended up EPing.  With this baby I really would like to BF without the nipple shield and not have to EP and while doing some research I came across this Nipple Everter.  Has anyone ever used one of these?  Do they really work?  Any other advice on how to make BFing work with flat nipples and no shield?  Thanks for your help!

    Yes! My one nipple is inverted and one is flat. I couldn't even pop a shield on if I didn't use the everter first. It also helps get milk flowing for babies instant gratification. Gl.

    I had one flat nipple and I just pumped for a minute before feeding each time for the first week or so.. After that i didn't need to do anything as it is no longer flat. It seems like this would be the same idea. I hope it works for you!!


    I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
