DH "performance" issues

I'm sorta new on here.  I read the discussions pretty regularly but, I've never posted anything.  I don't know who else to ask.  DH and I have been TTC 4 months now.  I realize that compared to some that's nothing.  It seems that DH may be a little more "stressed" than what he leads on.  He's fine when we BD when we don't "need" to but, when my fertile time comes he's too tired.  At first I thought that it was me.  He's 38 and I'm 32 I feel as though time really isn't on our side.  Everyone I know is either done having kids or prego so that doesn't help.  My question is has anyone ever experienced the DH being suddening tired?  What have you done to get past it?  I offer that maybe we should wait until he's on a different schedule (he works 3rd shift).  He says now that we keep trying.  I ask that you please be kind with your responses.  Thanks.

    We went through a phase like that but it was because SO was stressed and worried about having another LO too soon. I went on the pill and things are much better. I realize this is almost the opposite of your situation but my guess would be your DH is stressed about something. SO would always tell me that he was too tired and if I persuaded him he would end up having trouble finishing, he was just way too stressed. Maybe take a break from trying and make things more relaxed again for a bit, it might take some pressure off the situation.

    I'm not sure if you meant to post on this board, but it sounds like he feels pressured. Maybe not from you but by the process. I think I would stop focusing on when you need to have sex and just have sex regularly. Don't tell him when you are fertile and approach him with a this is my window we've got to do it. Just keep approaching him randomly and he won't know which days are more likely to lead to a baby.
