To anyone still worried about not being finished their nursery... Here's the current state of ours. That's the view from the master bedroom, so at least we'll be able to keep an eye on DD!
Well, we have no actual stuff in there yet, but hubby and I are giant nerds and decided to paint the room LOTR themed. We hand-painted a map of middle earth on the one wall, painted the other 3 green, and did a gold celtic border with the One Ring script written in the center.
Responses to our decision have been mixed thus far
We actually used a projector for both. We just hooked up a laptop with the image we wanted- DH followed the outlines on the map and the script with pencil, and then we painted. It took FOREVER because we had to move the projector multiple times to include the size we wanted, but it's turned out so well that we decided all that extra work was totally worth it.
@flyingryann Your nursery looks incredible! And @shepardcommander yours might be my favorite thing ever. My husband is the biggest LOTR fan. That is SO cool!!! I showed him the pics and he is jealous we didn't do something similar.
Moving this weekend at 8 months preggo, not too thrilled- but I am super excited to have a new place, gonna paint baby girls room and decorate and will post pics. Yay to May babies.
It's not ready yet but here's a sneak peek. Still have get crib linens, hang more artwork, hang some bookshelves on the wall and set up the changing station on top of the dresser but I guess this is a start, right?! Does anyone have any suggestions on bed linens that might look good? I want something that will tie it all together but for some reason it's really hard to find crib linens in any colors other than pastels and that wouldn't look good with our woodland theme.

What about a coral or mustard color?
That's what I was thinking too but I haven't been able to find them anywhere except Etsy and most of them are about $50. I'm new to this whole baby thing but that's ridiculously expensive, right?! Maybe it's time for me to learn how to use my sewing machine...
Once baby is here, ALL THE CHAMPAGNE will be mine.

I'm a FTM mom too but holy shit balls, that's a lot for just linens. Or maybe I'm just cheap. I'll look around and see if I can find anything!

Amazon.com - look for separate pieces. We are getting plain bright red cotton sheets, dust ruffle, and a cotton terry changing pad cover all from the same company to match. Each sheet is like 12$, dust ruffle was 20$, changing pad cover is 13$. So 45 for one of each. We went ahead and registered for two red sheets and have two backup plain white (ultra cheap) sheets in case of multiple blowouts between laundry days.
No extra linens we don't need, no markup because they're from a fancy shop. American Baby Company is the brand, and no complaints so far.

If you know how to sew a few straight lines, there are several great tutorials out there to make your own crib sheets. Then you'd have pick of any solid color that you can find at a fabric store. I've made several crib sheets in the past for our boys, and I promise they're pretty easy! Your nursery looks fabulous, by the way!

My mom dropped off our the drapes, 2 baby blankets and newly covered chair cushions she made for us, so the nursery is basically done now!! I have to put the valance up on the small window tomorrow, and Colin's name will go above his bed closer to May (we aren't telling family or friends the name, so that wall will stay blank for a while). I just have to put the changing pad on the dresser before it's really "baby ready".
But here it is so far (I hope the pictures aren't too dark):
Re: AW: Share your finished Nursery Pictures!
Dare I ask how long it took to tape and paint that??
Got it at Target, I believe Amazon also has it
