Hoping I just O'd really late...

in 1st Trimester
First of all, my cycles are not the average 28 day cycle and I usually O later than 14 days. 

According to my LMP (1/12) I should be about 9 wks. Got my BFP on 2/13. Had a doc appt last Friday due to some intense cramping with no bleeding. I got an U/S and doc dated my pregnancy to be 5w6d. Saw the best sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole but no heartbeat. He ordered blood work to be done that Fri and another one this last Monday. HcG levels went up between those days.

Got more blood drawn yesterday and results showed that my levels went down. Went in today for an U/S and it showed a flicker but no heartbeat. Now this U/S is dating me to be exactly 6wks so we wouldn't be able to see a heartbeat until next week's U/S (next Fri). 

I knew I probably O'd late but I wasn't expecting to be 3wks behind. Hoping and praying that next Fri we'll have a heartbeat.

Has anyone experienced something like this?

    I'm so sorry you are going through this. If you got your positive test on 2/16 you could be 3.5 weeks pregnant at the earliest then. So that would put you around 8 weeks now. So that does not look like this is going to end well. I'm so sorry. GL!!

    I'm sorry you're having to deal with the uncertainty. Your BFP happened 4 weeks ago and generally the earliest a HPT picks up hCG is at 8DPO (usually a positive test happens later than 8DPO), so using those assumptions you'd get 2/5 for ovulation and 7 weeks 2 days for pregnancy dating purposes. Being off by a few days can happen and be fine but with falling hCG as well, I'm very sorry to say that it doesn't sound good. I hope you are able to get some answers from your doctor soon.

    Thank you ladies! I was charting but only recorded temps (no cm recorded) so i'm thinking i o'd 2/4. FF has that date as dashed lines so it's not definite. But finding out that my pregnancy is dating to be 6wks kind of makes sense. So the flicker i saw today on the u/s gave me some hope.

    From my experience the flicker IS a heartbeat. I am sorry you are going through this. Many thoughts and prayers for good news soon.
